The UN says that 88 staff members from its Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA have been reported killed since the start of hostilities on October 7.
The figure represents “the highest number of United Nations fatalities ever recorded in a single conflict,” according to a joint statement from the heads of all major UN agencies.
The statement expresses outrage at the civilian death toll in Gaza and calls for an “immediate humanitarian ceasefire,” while also demanding that Hamas release the hostages it kidnapped from Israel.

“It’s been 30 days. Enough is enough. This must stop now,” the statement reads.

OK how about if Egypt blocks ships that support Israel? They would have to go around the Horn of Africa which would be costly. Another thing they could is ban warships from using it for all nations.

Bro, without the Muslim nations coming together and forming a unified front, it would be difficult for an individual Arab and/or Muslim state to take that risk. We all watch when Iraq and Libya were taken down without other Muslim nations coming to their aid. Therefore, I think Egypt alone can't take that risk.

Where they could help is to allow armaments to reach Hamas, PIJ, and others. Imagine Hamas & PIJ having the latest atgms. The invading settler colonial IOF would've been a toast by now.

Bro, without the Muslim nations coming together and forming a unified front, it would be difficult for an individual Arab and/or Muslim state to take that risk. We all watch when Iraq and Libya were taken down without other Muslim nations coming to their aid. Therefore, I think Egypt alone can't take that risk.

Not when you are an occupying enemy , you have no right to self defense, that is international law and there is no reason to condemn Hamas.

Something is off. After CIA director visit to Israel, the Israeli strikes have slowed down in the past couple hours. Either US is pressuring them for temporary humanitarian ceasefire, which should not affect the activism and push for ceasefire to end this genocide, or, US has intelligence on Israeli war captives and Hamas leader whereabouts and waiting for opportune moments after a deceiving 'calm'.

no one in the West is allowed to say "ceasefire" yet, they are probably close to agreeing a humanitarian "pause" in the genocide
