Gaza-Israel Conflict | October 2023

.
Stop your endless off-topic ramblings about religion and Islam and morality, this thread is to provide updates on the Gaza-Israel conflict. @waz
Why didn't you advise your Muslim friend who first claimed that atheists have no morals and that morality comes only through faith and religion?
You have no morals if you turn a blind eye when your Muslim friends attack us, but start blaming us when we answer.

Imagine a person you are talking about Islam with and arguing isn’t a Muslim himself and still thinks you are ridiculous. 🤦🏽

Do you have statistics?
What statistics would you like?
Let's be realistic. Houthi strikes are not getting through and cannot deplete Israeli defenses.
The missiles don't have to get through Israeli ABM defences to deplete Israeli defences. Indeed, I do not claim Ansarallah's missiles have much chance of penetrating Israel's AD systems or causing damage to Israel, they do not, but they can deplete Israeli ABM missiles by forcing Israel to use ABM missiles to intercept them with $3m Arrow missiles:

This war will not be easy to fight irrespective of all the claims that have been made thus far.
Indeed. It is true, however, that Israel lacks the ability to respond to these attacks from Yemen in any serious or cost-effective way, so these attacks can, and will, continue unimpeded, bleeding Israeli ABM missile supplies.

How many Arrow interceptors Israel has?
Interceptors can be manufactured - this shall be expected.

Channel 12 Hebrew:

For the second time since the war began - US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will arrive in Tel Aviv on Friday

Wael Al-Dahdouh, Al Jazeera correspondent: The resistance let the soldiers enter a building in large numbers and then blew it up.

this is a typical Hezbollah tactic and they used it to great effect in 2006

you fight and withdraw to a building which has tunnels

Israeli enter and you set off the boobytraps

looks like Hamas has been trained well by Hezbollah

imagine how good Hezbollah is by now I bet they are itching to enter this war

they need night vision, body armour and also they need Israeli uniforms

deception confusion and disorientation get more Israelis killed again this is Hezbollah tactics

Israel is committing unspeakable war crimes. Thanks to the Jewish-American community enabling it.

Urgent | Statement by #AlJazeera Media Network: We strongly condemn the heinous and indiscriminate Israeli bombing that led to the death of 19 members of the family of our colleague Muhammad Al-Qumsan, the broadcast engineer at #AlJazeera’s office in Gaza.

This is Hamas and Hamas's training. Hamas has more combat experience with Israel than Hezbollah does. If you want to cheer on Hezbollah, do so when they do something themselves and claim it. Don't claim credit for what Hamas is doing or Hamas's tactics and strategies.

How many Arrow interceptors Israel has?
That is obviously classified. What we do know is that Israel is the only country that uses this system, so it cannot rely on the USA's emergency reserves for re-supplies (as it did with Iron Dome Tamir missiles one day after the conflict with Gaza).

We also know that the Arrow system is extremely expensive, with each missile costing $3 million.

"Between 1989 and 2007 some $2.4 billion had been reportedly invested in the Arrow program, 50–80[29] percent of which was funded by the United States.[30] Israel contributes approximately $65 million annually [the US contributes $160-170m per year in the past 3 years]"

I do remember reading an Israeli geolocating OSINT account summarising the status of deployed Arrow-3 systems, and remarking that their numbers are low. I will try to find it again.

Interceptors can be manufactured - this shall be expected.
If it was that easy, Israel wouldn't need to turn to the USA for emergency resupply of Iron Dome Tamir missiles after one day of conflict with Gaza, and then have multiple subsequent resupplies from the USA as well.
