Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh have been omitted from the 30-member preliminary squad for the World Cup picked by India's selectors on Thursday. It has been almost a year since any of them made the ODI side.

MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and R Ashwin were the only survivors from the squad that won the 2011 World Cup.

As usual batting is not a problem with plenty of muscles like Dhoni, Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhavan, Raina etc

The new crop of bowlers will be tested in Australian conditions , Bhuvi, Shami, Umesh Yadav will enjoy the pace conditions. Everything is OK except Ishant Sharma but maybe they wanted an experienced pacer

Batting in pacy conditions is a problem. Remember South Africa. Our players can only play in soft pitches of the sub-continent and even England. I'd bet that India goes out in the Group stage itself.

Get out of obnoxiousness.

State level cricketers are becoming better by playing against legends and other superb players. I get to see some guys playing at night on TV rather than a shitty serial or soap or some other sh!t. Plus they are making money. Last I checked pakistani players were begging to play in IPL. not test cricket squad.
