What's new

Future snapshot of PakTurk military cooperation.

PK will re-request more AH-1F's or the Super-Cobra again.
Well actually yesterday morning some channels were giving breaking news that high level Pakistani delegation has met a high level delegation in USA to discuss defense deals but no body discussed that here on forum do you have any idea about it ? @Horus

.
the result of the 'successful' tour is that US has extended military cooperation with Pakistan for another year. Thats like being still on probation for a partnership going on for last 13 years.

When headlines come from US, dont read too much in it.

Talking about buying Mi-28 makes sense as it can carry heavy weapons payload. T-129 falls below this category.

Hypothetically, if Pakistan has resources all three helicopters - Mi-35, Mi-28 and T-129, its has a full range of attack helicopters covered.

There is no denying target is not just militants, it must be the armored columns too advancing from eastern border.

LCH is superior to all helicopters, past, present & future. Happy!! Now let the thread progress and keep your fantasies to yourself.

Stats mean nothing. Its the battle testing and maturity of platform. It might hurt you but weapons have a pedigree too. Any weapon built by Russia, even untested holds much more credibility than an LCH built by a country that has not marketed or built helicopters before.

I thought this was Pak Turk thread but Indians as usual are the spoilers.

Firstly, open your brain. Drink a cup of coffee. Now you awaken. Now, again read my post. Where I said LCH is superior to T129.

And even I supported that PAF should induct T129. Bro, there is no need to go biased every time. And please try to figure out who is spoiler here.

LCH has slighly more powerful engine than T-129A. It has around 400m higher rate of climb. And her MTOW is 500kg more than T-129A. Whereas T-129A has more advanced avionics, MWR, HMDS and most importantly it has Link-11 and Link-16 as well as integrated into national C4ISR datalink system. And currently a squadron of T-129As are fully operational in service of KKK Army Aviation Command.

AFAIK, LCH is based on the utility helicopter of India named Dhruv which is exported to all around the world whereas T-129A and B are based on a combat proven attack helicopter Agusta Mangusta.

Can we compare these? Apparently we can only on papers. Based on performance; LCH, based on combat/systems: T-129. This is the only conclusion we can do. But all those are on papers. Let's hope Pakistan will make the best suitable choice considering her budget constraints.

We cant say about the avionics of LCH, all we know very little, but one those are all Israeli- origin. And we are not NATO, so Link-11 and 16 is not possible at all. But definitely a SATCOM going to be installed in it. And army sat already going to be launched.

There is maximum possibility that Arjun Mk2 will be ordered above 500. And LCH main role going to be support the Armored Division and protect them from any aerial threat. Dont know what the T129 going to adopt as a doctrine. But LCH role going to be blitz attack, for that India already order is above 200, maybe half will be deploy on LAC and AP.

Maybe comparison become more concluded if Pak adopted T129, otherwise LCH never going to be pitted against T129.

Which one of these four candidates is most probable as replacement of AH-1S?
I hope we choose T-129. Turkey is a reliable partner to Pakistan, and we really need to further strengthen our defence ties with them...

Once an army officer posted this on twitter:

Tweet for T-129 by Army Officer.jpg

Apache carries guided rockets as well while Russian rockets are totally unguided. Apache weaponry is matchless.
To match Apache, If Pakistan incorporate Chinese hell-fire equivalent missile HJ-09/10 and guided rocket system (if any) to Mi-28N that would turn it into a low cost matchless alternate, even better than Apache itself.

Buts that's highly unlikely :/

That is one reason why PAA like T-129 as it can carry 70mm Cirit laser guided missile with range of 8km, it got good weapons at its disposal and Turkey is will to TOT all of it.

No need to compare these 2 helos since they will never come face to face with each other
On topic
PK is better going with China or Turkey on helos who ever offers more Operational freedom & TOT but i have a feeling it will be china

What is the difference between missile and rocket?
Basically in military terminology, missiles have guidance while rockets do not.Missiles have longer range, etc. But here the term ``guided rocket`` has confused a lot of people cuz rockets generally r not guided. It has removed the difference between a missile and a guided rocket.May b its a rocket because it has smaller calliber or it is launched through rocket pods
still it is very potent and effective system as it is Fire n Forget.
Yep it is

Official website clearly says that it is a missile:

CİRİT | 2.75” Laser Guided Missile « Roketsan

As i already said it has removed any difference b/w missile and rocket. Also if it is a missile, then why is it fired from rocket pods?I donot know why they call it a guided missile. From its initial designing to final production,it has been described as a guided rocket

What is the problem in it? the reason is that 70mm rockets are widely used by militaries and they are effective but dumb, here Cirit comes in, one can carry more but with 21st century capabilities.
