You are actually right in suggesting that. This is where I believe once in a while Feb 27th like performance would be needed by our folks, which would ultimately deter an all-out-war. The other side, while it cannot attack Pakistan, takes out the anger internally at Indian muslims, hence you can see the ostracization campaign in full effect.

The problem is that there is no end to the expectations these "performances" can set. Internal one-upmanship inside India can lead to disaster.. "Modi did this last time? OK so I must do something more."

Problem is with the entire rotten ecosystem.. politics based on rotten RSS ideology, cheered on by a frenzied media and believed to be true by hundreds of millions. This is scary stuff.
