From Arabization to Turkfication Ertugrul and Pakistani Nationalism

Finally a sensible post out of you. The geographic Indus includes the surrounding mountains that drain into the Indus. This all of the Pakhun majority provinces of Afghanistan including Kabul ~ river Kabul drains into Indus near Attock. It includes all of Indian Punjab and Himachel Pradesh. All ethnic groups living within this basin, Sindhi, Pakhtun, Baloch, Punjabi, Kashmiri etc are scions of Indus. All share a common platform. This amalgam is basis of Pakistan as it forms 94% of the people. India, Iran, Afghanistan may share some threads but they have their own unique tapestries.

Religon always has profound effect on culture and history of a people. As a secularist I would openly accept this.

When EL Sid makes a non troll post for once in like several months or years."You Know its a good day"

If people look at my DP it shows the Indus River Valley with a box. That 'box' includes the surrounding areas of Indus. Pakistan however is the defining state of the Indus Basin as it occupies the ground zero.

With all the "glorious history" right in our backyard there is no need for the larping as usual

In the case of Pakistanis, Islam and our race have combined to form our culture and heritage.

"Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but the Muslim Ideology which has to be preserved, which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which, we hope others will share with us."

He referred Chauhans as IVC?

He made a good joke, I had to commend him. :D

Sorry brother, but as someone who can speak Arabic and has befriended and known Egyptians my whole life, even prominent heads of Arab and Muslim organizations, your post is absolute nonsense.

Copts are a small minority and a relic of the past, similar to Parsis of Iran.

Egyptians are both Egyptian and Arab at the same time. The two identities are not mutually exclusive.

It is an off topic discussion and probably can be answered in more detail from our Arab members @Falcon29 @Amun @ArabianEmpires&Caliphates @Total Destruction

I don't know why you are tagging Indians to this discussion. Identity of Egypt has nothing to do with them.

If you allow me brothers to say a word here .....

First of all we are EGYPTIANS ....

All what above is just a hint of how we are seeing our EGYPTIAN history ....

After Arabs/ Islam came to Egypt .... Egyptians welcomed it .... as the Egyptians themselves were under Religious persecution from the Romans even the Coptic Pop was hiding in the desert ... that’s why they have welcomed Islam .

worth to say ... that Egyptians didn’t inter Islam directly after that ..... but it takes Tens of years for Islam to be the major religion in Egypt.

After Islam , Egypt also continued its unique role by speaking Arabic then Cairo , Baghdad and Damascus Are the bright spot of light ,art , science and civilization during the times of Omaween and Abasis ... then after Mongols destruction of Baghdad and Damascus ..... and defeating of Mongols at the Egyptian Eastern Gates .... Egypt returned to be the center again and defended Islam against Crusaders in Levant and Hijaz till the times of Ottmans ( dark time of Egypt and I don’t need to argue in that point) .....

during the last 2 centuries there was a cultural rise up in Egypt ....

Nowadays , Egyptians represent about 25% of the Arabic Speakers ..... with the most influencing culture in the Arab world .

to conclude,

From Religious point of view .... Egyptians accepted Islam and accepted Arabic as a language even have contributed in the science and arts in Arabic more than any other Arab nation.

From Ethnic point of view , we are still genetically 85% Egyptians... descending from that Great civilization.

From My point of view :-), Arabs belong to us:cheesy:

As the mother of prophet Ismael “the father of the Arabs “ .. ( Elsayeda Hagar )she was Egyptian .... so we are Arab’s uncles :enjoy:

This is a brief of our legacy .... that makes us EGYPTIANS :-)

Thanks brother. Amazing post.. May Allah azza wa jal continue to bless Egyptians and Egypt. Great and unique nation of humanity. As it is said in Egypt, "Masr Om ad Dunya."

Egypt is a nation which embraces its ancestral legacy, Arab heritage, and its modern identity in a very strong way.

It is a great ideal for Pakistan to follow if we choose to bring back IVC, Iranic (Saka, Kushan, Hepthalite) cultural legacy to Pakistani mainstream consciousness.

We should be comfortable in all spheres of our identity and embrace a holistic approach like Egyptians and Turks have done.

That requires us to accept the modern reality of Pakistan as an Islamic state firstly, and then to built on that by recalling our past experiences as a nation, all the way back to Harrapa and Mohen jo daro.

It's amazing what one bloody drama can do.

Regardless as to whether or not some people are getting too hyper over Pakistanis enjoying a basic drama, the basic premise is correct: a lot of Pakistanis simply do not value the history of our own land/people enough, nor do we know about it in sufficient detail.

Pakistan being founded as a separate homeland for Muslims doesn't suddenly negate the fact that we are the sons of the Indus. For those of you going on about muh sand/kara-booga/transranian heritage, at best it's seriously diluted so there's no point in making it your primary ethnic identity, that's just silly.

Nobody is saying you can't like the history of Islam that took place in other lands, what we are saying is that this should not be at the expense of our own people's history.

The cope within this thread is unbearable. The Turk always finds a way to put the region of the Indus valley under his control. Before he did it with blood and steel pillaging the region of its riches and establishing his realm within the heart of Punjab.

Ghaznavid_Empire_975_-_1187_%28AD%29.PNG

Now he does it by spreading his soft power throughout the region with a retarded fantasization of an Anatolian Turk. Soon, everyone will be wearing the Ertuğrul costumes whilst your rickshaw driver will say "Eyvallah" verbatim 24/7.

Meh, at least it's better than Pakistanis walking around wearing the Khaleeji headwear and thobe looking like ugly Wahhabis. :pakistan:

Oh shit, it's already happening :o:

And personally I find the Kemalist Turks soooooo much better and likeable. The Ottoman revivalists Turks, some on this forum, are so cringeworthy. And Pakistanis love to gobble it all up, seeing how identity less they are
