The countries of the region wouldn't ask for French military presence if they were able to contain the terror threat,which their armed forces are unable to do. That's the harsh reality many can't admit. When the terrorists will establish a caliphate over the sahel within weeks (which they nearly did in Mali in 2012-2013) they would be the first ones to ask for the military assistance of the former colonial master.

I like Napolean for he was against the Rothschilds and other imperials of his time...like Russia & UK...he had kinda friendly relations with the Ottomans and had the Ottomans fully used their relationships...they wouldn't have been extinct by now.

France could have helped modernise the Ottomans while keeping the Russians away too along with other Euros. Ottomans would have made a comeback and should have pushed into Russia and stopped it from pushing further East and contained it.

A combo of French & Turkish attack into Russia would have crippled it. But alas, both Napoleon & the Ottomans were solo players and got killed off by other nations banding together. Which is another reason why I say that Pakistan needs to forge military alliance with China (until needed) & other Muslims countries like Turkey....Pakistan can't survive on its own imo.
