France refuses to budge on IAF specifications for Rafale

It's not dragging if we don't get the proper integration setup now then 5 years down the line they would complain about not having resources to fund the integration process and charge on the same line as they charged for Mirage upgrade.
they charged us so much on mirage upgrade cause it added the commissions of sonia ji , MOD baboons and IAF genrals part of the deal and frenchies getting so flickerry cause they had already paid the ammount to clear the orignal MRCA deal which was scrapped so now they dont want do go all over again and thats what dragging the deal now as new PMO & MOD has made it clear that what dassult paid to the UPA goverment is not there concern and new MOD & PMO want rafales on "actual" international market rates and frencgies want the investments they did to pay up but cant so is the limbo in the deal

Well then it sucks for them. Germany is still out there not to mention US is still pushing for the upgraded f/a-18 for navy and air force and also the f-35 so the ball is still in France's court they can either agree and also win the follow on order after the initial 36 or lose that either to US or Russia.

Correction we never delayed the deal it was France who went back on the original requirements for the deal for MMRCA so we are in no place to blame. There is a reason is to why Germany and Sweden are still pushing for the EF and Grippen.
no sir there are lot of things that are not open in media right now which owr paid media and frenchies both dont want to disclose but new MOD & PMO wants frenchies to expose all that to the indian publick and media but that will mean openning a pandoras box

thing is EF and grippen will never come as we dont nead another air superiorty fighter as we already have MKIs, Mig29s for that and the onli option left is FA-18 E/F advanced super hornet and chances are it just might make the cut for IAF

tht right wht u said ,they should think with their mind not with their asssesssss.

now having a tea

also bhai if Nicolas Sarkozy was still the president then things would have been different , as he was excellent supporter of india

eaxctly looks like new MOD & PMO want to go for US route if the rafle deal fails as its onli US that has the best machine with them and it has the common engine to LCA project hence lesser hassel for maintainence and USA also has the best AESA & wepons tech

I don't think India will buy US weapons for combat scenario. Yanks are unpredictable supplier, even though things have improved a lot in recent past, however, there is mistrust on both the sides especially from Indian side. It will be either Rafale or Super Sukhois..

Its highly objectionable, iaf is still not done with the final specs for the jets. And they are changing it again and again during the contract negotiations.

IAF changes the lca requirements with every passing day and now they arr doing the same with rafale.

Yes thats right, more than deal india is looking to get some political favor in return. We can buy degraded US weapon system and also their support in reining in pakistan or pissing of china. But it does make sense what are these weapons for ? projecting power to deter your enemy. The deal with US might just do that, only thing is that US is a very risky country to deal with financially and strategically.

French are NOT desperate at all

The Rafale has managed to get Two export orders

It can get more ; Rafale's long drought of export success is over

Integrating a new weapon takes time and Human effort

Dassault will have to pay its people for doing it

Nothing is free in this world
Why would french give extra jam jelly to indians, they are already getting orders for rafale from other countries without any time taking process like india
So why would they bent down for just 36 jets deal having offset clauses and so many strings attached.

my first hand experience.indians when they have little money they get over the top in minutes.once a indian came to my shop and said to me that i m the king cos i m the customer.damn those arabs are far better then u guys

USA is a true baniya and a baniya will never kill a cash cow until its starts stabbing the baniya with its horns and USA needs india much much more than vice versa and if ever F/A 18 E/F deal matures that will mean an exytended order running into dozens on billion of $$s & 1000s of jobs for decades for USA what will you do if you are in USAs position :azn:

Oh.. much longer.

Its a buyers market, we are giving them business & jobs. We are within our rights to seek our pound of flesh.
Indians have already wasted 8 years in trails and selection.

The order has been reduced from 126 to just 36 jets. Why blame the french when indians are not even done with the final specs and quantity of jets.

IAF should learn that they are not the only aircraft buyer left in this world. qatar, egypt etc etc are inducting such jets without giving headache to themselves and the manufacturer.
