France has acknowledged Pakistan's sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
The acknowledgement was voiced by French President Francois Hollande at a meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on the side lines of Nuclear Summit at The Hague.
The French President also appreciated Pakistan's initiative to normalize its relations with India. He also commended economic reforms being undertaken by the Pakistan government.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan's friends must acknowledge its sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. He said Pakistan economy suffered heavily and now it is the responsibility of the world nations to pay back in terms of enhanced cooperation in trade and economy.
Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan attaches special importance to its relations with France and that hopes these relations will continue to improve in all fields.
The Prime Minister also met US President Barrack Obama, Chinese President XI Jinping and Turkish President Abdullah Gul and discussed ways to promote bilateral relations.
