What's new

Framework announced - Iran remains a nuclear threshold state , sanctions will be lifted

Great news indeed, hope the trade and economical co-operation will boom between Turkey and Iran.

Btw i read somewhere that Iran now only is allowed to produce first generation reactors, is this true?

. .
dont break the deal and evrything will be fine.

It is actually Europe that breaks the deals. In 2003, Europe did a deal with Iran. At the time Iran had ZERO centrifuges and under that deal, Iran was allowed to keep ZERO centrifuges of first generation type (IR-1). Europe broke the deal, forcing Iran to move forward with its program.

Now, Iran has over 19000 centrifuges and has technology for 8th generation centrifuges (IR-8, that are over 25 times more powerful than IR-1). Europe is now begging Iran to reduce them to 6000 centrifuges. If Europe breaks the deal, this time by refusing to provide Iran what Iran NEEDS, then your next deal will be with a Iran that is nuclear ARMED.

Just saying. Keep the deal, and play cool. No body wants to go down that road, here.

We never broke any deal. Irans problem is that people influence its politics who should not be allowed ro...like the ayatollah. Iran suffers extremly under the sanctions and could do much better than now. We even have magazines now that advertise holiday in Iran when the deal is through.

Thanks . Centrifuges not reactors ( centrifuge is used to enrich uranium ) ... Iran is allowed to develop new machines but is not allowed to use them for enrichment for a ten year period .

" Iran will continue research and development program on advanced centrifuge machines and will be also able to keep initiating and completing its R & D program on IR-4, IR-5, IR-6 and IR-8 machines in the 10-year period of the agreement. "

You are ignorant. Go, pull out the old news and study. Europe broke the deal. You can go on ranting your propaganda but it will not change the reality.

Mostly because you are a lapdog of US incapable of any decision is American leash does not allow you. I will not quote from Iranian sources and Iranian point of view. Since you are too much drunk on propaganda against Iran, so I quote your own sources (Does Italy even have a free media?)

Iran: how the West missed a chance to make peace with Tehran - Telegraph

"...
So the peace proposal from the Iranian negotiators was killed stone dead even though the European negotiating team realised that it was both very well judged and in full conformity with international law. “This was an extraordinary sleight of hand by the EU,” says one European diplomat who was close to the negotiations.

The European diplomats came back with their counter-proposal to Iran for on 5 August 2005. The terms were humiliating. They required Iran to make “a binding commitment not to pursue fuel cycle activities other than the construction and operation of light-water power and research reactors”. In other words, all enrichment and related activities on Iranian soil had to cease for good.

This meant that the UK, France and Germany had broken a commitment they had made at the outset of negotiations to recognise Iran’s legal right under the Non-Proliferation Treaty to the peaceful use of nuclear energy, subject always to “objective guarantees”.

Yet more than once during these negotiations, Iran made proposals to the EU3 offering “objective guarantees” that its nuclear programme would be peaceful - including the continuous on-site presence at the conversion and enrichment facilities of inspectors from the IAEA, the international nuclear watchdog. Nevertheless, the EU3 did not accept the plan as a basis for negotiation, simply leaving it to wither on the vine.

In a speech to the United Nations on 17 September 2005, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made Iran’s most remarkable offer of all. He suggested that Iran’s enrichment programme be managed by an international consortium, with Iran agreeing shared ownership with other countries. Once again, this offer was rejected out of hand by the EU and the United States.

This EU intransigence meant that Iran was being invidiously singled out as the only party to the NPT that was forbidden to have uranium enrichment on its own soil.

It was no surprise therefore that Iran rejected these proposals out of hand. As a result the country restarted its nuclear programme — with the consequences we are living with today. An historic opportunity was lost for Europe to come to a comprehensive settlement with Iran on a wide range of issues... "

Well Iran did hide Fordo and other facilities which made any deal obsolet.

Beside that i find it amusing that you call us "lapdogs". While we deal with whoever we want and even sell poison gas to dictators who are sanctiond from USA.

Iran is on the floor right now economical and we got a far betetr deal now.

As expected. You are an ignorant. The deal was from 2003 to 2005 when EU broke it in 2005.

Fordow was announced in 2009. Under NPT, Iran has obligation to announce a facility just 6 months before it introduces uranium into it. So Iran can go and build as many plants as it likes without telling anyone, as long as it has not introduced uranium into them. Such was the case of Fordow. Iran had not yet introduced any uranium there, then.

You are a lapdog because you can only sell poison gas to likes of Saddam when US, ORDERS you to. France announces to bomb Syria but as soon as US changes its mind, then the same France falls silent.

Under article 10 of NPT, Iran has the right to pull out of it, unilaterally. This is Iran's legal right. Just saying so you guys keep it in mind, for future reference.

Reactors too . there is no limit on building new reactors like that of Bushehr .

This news is from today :

Tasnim News Agency - Iran Planning to Develop Small Nuclear Power Plants

These are indigenous power plants . We also are going to build more than 4 huge plants 2 of them 1000 megawatts like bushehr and the other two bigger than bushehr if i'm not wrong with the help of russians

Iran has the rights that we allow it to have. Welcome into the real world.

You have no airplanes, you have massive poverty and an incredible inflation. Your nation is isolated and on a state that i would find depressing.
