Looks fine on mobile. On desktop it is a mess. The user info panel precedes every post and IMHO is killing my EYES!

exactly, better this user info be sidelined as it was done in the previous theme, setup. these should be made visible only on hover. not all the time.

Isnt that how it looks on mobile? It is horizontal anyways. So what is cheap exactly?

Hi Webby, the old PDF (pakistanidefecneforum), Pakdef.org, etc. were good forums, and then someone decided to do an "upgrade". And the rest is history. I am not saying that this is where we are heading but just that we need to move fast to remove any bugs due to the new forum layout. Personally, I really liked the old layout - really iconic., but then that's just me.

That Green wall after every post of user member details is so heavy on the eyes and irritating, looks so busy and overdone, like at one time you are seeing 3-4 blocks of heavy green color. No good web designer will do this.

Why the members who is visiting and active on a thread(like this one) is not showing at the bottom, how can we know the number of members visiting a particular thread.

The left to right area for writing the post is way to wide, should be shorter by at least 10-12%. It is more about scrolling from top to bottom than it is is about writing longer unreadable lines. Now have to move the eyes from left to right to read the wider lines.

Added reaction score (postive/neg) and total including neutral.

Added latest threads at the bottom on forum home.

Username colors are adjusted except for admin user (me)

Sir with due respect may we have a simple recent threads button? now scrolling at home page up and down for different categoreies's recent threads is really painful, also it makes the homepage a bit of messy, kindly add a recent threads button or provide us sort filter in New Posts filters to keep it simple and make our defence.pk homepage beautiful and simple as previously it was
also the user headers are just disturbing the post reading experience, suggestion if we try a minimal user header to keep focus on the post instead of bulky user headers because the header is occuping the more space (like indian in Kashmir ) than the user post / comment (innoncet Kashmiris).

So, barring glitches such as those for the missing ratings, I like the new look. It's cleaner.

However, I don't like the member information layout on the posts. I preferred the old layout where it was a smaller block in the top left corner with member information laid out vertically rather than the horizontal strip the new layout has with everything spread out at the top of the post.

I think this can be taken care of by displaying latest threads (like latest posts) in forum display area.
