No I am not at all a fan of his driving I want him to retire but he creates a scene every time he is asked to retire.

Most probably he needs money, and your assessment about his financial condition is wrong.... In this case, i think, IF you can afford...you can hire him for any other role, than driver..as a driver is risky, going by your opinion abt his sriving.......Maybe you can hire him for gardner role, as someone said, or in any other helping role, if u can afford him...

I think you are in better position to assess his physical condition.

Some people do become too old after they pass the age of 45 in Pakistan and some people are fit to drive even after 70 years. It is only you who can examine his physical condition to ensure your family is in safe hands or not.

I do know that many people in Pakistan prefers drivers of bit older age to carry their children to School and bringing them back for the obvious reasons but I am not sure if he will be a safe driver if he is physically unfit to drive for long time

My father is about 70 years old a healthy retired man but now if he drives extended period like 2 or 3 hours his muscle in leg starts cramping which makes some times difficult for him to keep pressing accelerator or some times brake/clutch.

Okay now that I have adequate responses (for a thread opened by me) and have attention of young Pakistanis let me take this thread in the right direction. I have tried not to tell any lie all the while when responding to members here.

Well people I am not in need of any driver neither any person has asked me for a job as a driver ............... the purpose was to make you think about a person's suitability for a position ............... considering his age and medical condition.

We will think and rethink in our real lives when someone old enough to be in 60+ asks us for a job that involves safety of others and our own family, we will take time, check his credentials, check his experience, ask his previous supervisors, and even after all that if we hire him, we will hire him on probation for a limited period just to test if he performs he stays otherwise we will surely say "sorry you are not fit for the job".

My only request next time when anyone of you gets to vote in 2018 (INSHALLAH) please be sure you vote keeping this in mind that you are hiring someone who is going to be in driving seat of your country. A lot Pakistani children's future, a lot of Pakistani people's interest, their welfare, a lot of Pakistan's development and Pakistan's interest would depend on his decisions and the direction he wishes to take.

I wasn't wrong when I said he is 66 years old and recently had a heart surgery, and he is financially sound .......... all the while I had current Prime Minister of Pakistan in my mind. He was PM of Pakistan when I was 12 or 13 years old and he is still PM of Pakistan when I am 37.

If the age and medical condition can refuse a person to be a safe driver and more adequate for role like a gardener etc. Then the same rule should apply in case of the person in charge of Pakistan .............. and this in no way is applicable to current PM but this should be applicable for anyone and everyone who is going to contest the next election.

That was all that I wanted to convey. Thank you all for your time and feedback.

- what is his disability ?? a lot of it depends on it !! and his past record !!
- and i doubt that any one is going to take a risk to hire a disable driver...i have seen some ppl checking drivers medical record + criminal records !! he should opt for something else instead of driving !!

Hmm...good try... So, In this case also, we were right tht only age does not matter.. His mental and physical alertness matters most... Even Quaid e Azam was in his 70s when, he got us Pakistan...so its not age but his dedication and sincerety to the cause counted most, in this case... Whereas in case of Nawaz sharif, he lacks on every count. He has become a security risk, after tht dawn news feed security breach....so its a must tht power centers (army) must drive him out by force or be ready for risk to our existence...now does the army realise this..or not? Tht remains to be seen

Don't hire disabled and such oldman as driver. He will become liability for you, even for gardening not good.
He is good for office work in computer if he has some skill.

Not everyone is Muhammad Ali Jinnah ................. especially in today's Pakistan. Some people devote their whole life for a nation and some people devote the whole nation for themselves.

Like all other fields and professions there should be an age limit for all the key positions of a country....... In my view no one over and above 60 should be eligible to hold a key post like PM, President, CM or a Governor. If the age limit to appear in CSS exams can be max 28 years old then why not age limit should apply in politicians' case.

I believe we already have enough time afforded to all of them. All these old bastards need to retire including IK, they have no clue and no energy to take Pakistan into the right direction.

Jinnah devoted his youth for freedom of people ............ unfortunately he only got 1 year to rule Pakistan.

In that case when he calls you back just ask him if our current politicians are fit to rule our country
