For Pakistan: War drums just got louder at Yemen-Saudi border

Unfortunately army has no respect in the common mans heart, they do what they want to do, they don't care about the public or its opinion they are their to exploit and make money even if that means tarnishing the country's sovereignty.

Pak army would have been respected more if they carried out operations against terrorist by themselves, but there was no money in it so they allowed USA to carry out drone attacks.

Same army who gave dr Afia to USA without any solid evidence against her, why because they got paid.

This was the same army after loosing east Pakistan said it was good game.

No one was ever brought to justice.

.
No because they lack courage, one thing Arabs are not know for is their courage.

Remember all those great leaders during so called Arab era were none Arabs for example Saladin ayyubi was a Kurd.

Say what troll? Military history did not begin when a fully US/Western etc. backed nuclear Israel was created who fought for their very existence unlike the highly corrupt, Soviet-junk backed Egyptian, Iraqi and Syrian armies led by dictators.

Israelis would stand no chance against the average Arab on an equal battlefield. If anything Arabs are more used to war and conflict than most others. Courage is the last thing that the average Arab lacks. Regimes are a different story and they do not represent the 450 million or so Arabs out there.

Let alone countless of kingdoms, sultanates, imamates, sheikdoms, emirates etc. on 3 continents (Asia, Europe and Africa).

All above originating from what is now KSA and Arabia.

The current legacy of all this is this landmass and people below;

Nobody outside of Westerners are anywhere near the imperial and military history of Arabs historically based on conquest and number of empires etc. Just plain and simple facts as I demonstrated.

Salah-ad-Din was born in Northern Iraq and was fully Arabized and also had Arab ancestry. All of his descendants live in the Arab world too. Nor was he anywhere near being the greatest Muslim general. Not even close.

.
I would have supported to fight for Saudi Arabia if they were invaded. The war in Yemen is something they are fighting for their interests and i am sure they can handle it on their own.

.
Moreover the descendants of the Houthi's (Northern Yemenis) have kicked the asses of every occupier be he Ottoman or British. Yemen is also known as the “Graveyard of the Turks.” Make a quick google search.

So the Houthi's and the terrain they operate in is a death trap. Nobody has ever had formal control of that area.

It's better to leave them alone and just deal with them if they try to expand outside of their native areas or threaten KSA's interests. Then operations like the current one are needed.

And all eventually conquered by the Turks?.

Drone strikes issue can be debated.
Afia was not 'given'.

Well said Tameem bhai.

Well said.

Let me say a bit about "Consensus building".

Unfortunately our intellectuals follow bhair chaal (sheepal mentality).

Today they may be saying something.

But tomorrow if Rahil Sharif comes on TV and says we are sending 10,000 troops to KSA,
you think our sheepel media will say more than "Miao"

That's True but on the other hand both Sharif knows very well that it will not be good for Pakistan in the longer run if they bulldoze their own understanding on the ordinary people who doesn't understands geopolitics an inch. This is 2015 not 70s, they cant silent/stop 24hours "Ullu Dabba" in spreading nonsense...they has to walk with it in order to change it and thats what they are doing rightly.

.
And all eventually conquered by the Turks?.

All the facts that I wrote must have hurt.

The Arab world is bigger than Russia and extremely complex. Every nation/civilization/people have good and bad periods.

Anyway who are we? Less than 25% of the Arab world was under Ottoman control/influence but in the case of the Arabian Peninsula this influence was only limited to military garrisons and in the case of Yemen it ended up in massacres of Ottomans. Same story in Hijaz.

For your information then the Arabs were the largest ethnic group in the Ottoman Empire and much of the military was made up by Arabs as well.

You were schooled. Now go cry in your corner about the "evil" Arabs. Nobody cares what some obsessive Pashtun that does not even has a country of his own writes of bullshit.

.
Saudi is one of our strongest allies who we always run to for help. The number of times the Saudi influence has helped us get out of the shit hole diplomatically is something one should see. Rather then turn our back on a country we have very strong military ties to, we need to start playing the role of an ally. We need countries that will support Pakistan in the future and being an isolated country will do no one any favours. I do not understand the policy of staying out of a war when ever you need things you ask and they have obliged. Just shows how much our media has influenced our mindset. Remember the Houthis are a version of terrorists, and once they enter Saudi properly we have first hand experience how difficult it is to get them out

I got a country called Pakistan which we fought for, you have a country that was gifted to you for your old profession which is treachery and back stabbing.

So who is country less here?.

The proxies between Saudia arabia and Iran are rising in the region. We can't stay neutral in this fluid situation. India is investing in Iran. After development of Chabhar port logically india iran will be strategic partners. There is emerging threat to us from westren border. ( from iran)

What options are available to us if iran continues its war in muslim world for regional hegemony. Obviously we can't be ally with iran due to presence of india over there. Development of gawader port is not good sign both for india and iran.

The only workable option is to re define our approach instead of neutrality as early as possible. The more we delay more will be the loss.

I don't see a country called "Pashtunistan" on the other hand I see more than 20 Arab countries and an Arab world that is the size of Russia.

Arabia is the oldest inhabited place on the planet after Eastern Africa. KSA was conquered by the House of Saud and united by them. KSA was never a Western colony unlike what later became Pakistan. You need to open some history books just for once in your life.

What are you blabbering about nobody knows or cares about for that matter. Stick to the topic Arab-obsessed troll.

That is not how its seen in Arabia. Al Sauds did unite their own tribes to create a country. They did not back stab the Ottomans, they finished themselves off after they became too nationalistic.

Of course you won't see a country called pushtoonistan because we are Pakistanis, pushtoonistan is secondary, you see my little cursed friend even hadiths say Arabs will just exist by name, not that am a religious man as religion is secondary.

What were sauds before they got their reward from the British?, dacoits, rapist pillagers, they use to attack caravans.

Pakistan may have been a British colony but so has been most of Arab world, if you only pulled your head out of the camels butt you would see things differently.

The OP has created this thread to attack Yemenis that have been never a threat to any Muslim country; but have you ever wanted to help Iraqis and Syrians against the terrorists who are mostly Saudi ????

Although Saudi Arabia is the Arab country putting the most effort into raising awareness of the threat of the Islamic State (ISIS) and fighting the group, Saudi citizens are the most responsive to joining ISIS, as indicated by new semi-official statistics, which show that the number of Saudi fighters in ISIS reached 7,000.

Foreign fighters joining ISIS:

  • Saudis: 7,000 (from 15000)
  • Tunisians: 5,000
  • Jordanians: 2,500
The statistics also show that the number of foreign fighters joining ISIS' ranks have been rapidly growing after the organisation took control of Mosul, Ar-Raqqah, and Deir ez-Zor, after taking over most of Anbar and Salahuddin. It also suggests that the number of foreign ISIS fighters has reached over 15,000 from all over the Muslim world, as well as many European countries, noting that the true number of fighters is well over 15,000.

According to the American website Daily Paul, which specialises in security affairs, the second highest number of non-Syrian or Iraqi ISIS fighters come from Tunisia, which are estimated at 5,000 fighters, followed by Jordan, with 2,500 fighters. Meanwhile, Palestinian-Israelis amount to about "20 fighters."

Although most Western statistics confirm that the Saudi fighters make up the largest share of foreign fighters, Saudi Arabia considers this to be a false exaggeration aimed to "distort the image of Saudi Arabia and label its citizens as terrorists," according to Abdul Moneim Al-Mushawwah, the director of the Sakina Campaign, concerned with combatting extremist and violent ideology in Saudi Arabia. In his statement to Al-Arabiya net, he added: "Yes there are Saudi fighters that have joined the ranks of ISIS, just as there are fighters from most other countries, but the Saudis make up the least number of fighters."

A previous study showed that no less than 24 of every 26 ISIS membersare from foreign countries. The study published by Long War says that ISIS fighters come from Africa, Asia, Europe, America, Tunisia, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Iran, Pakistan, Chechnya, France, Germany and the US.Statistics show that 65 per centof the foreign fighters are Saudi, 20 per cent are Libyan and Tunisian and 15 per cent are from various other nationalities, and that 44 per cent of ISIS' causalities are Saudi fighters.

You only have to look at 9/11 majority of the terrorists were Saudis, Osama was a Saudi.
