Five stabbed to death in latest Chinese knife attack

Are you going to put 1.2 billion Han also into "enclosures" because some Hans butcher innocents with knives?

Four stabbed to death, 11 injured in rampage on bus in Chengdu | South China Morning Post

Four people were stabbed to death and 11 were injured when a 41-year-old man suddenly attacked fellow passengers on a bus in Chengdu on Sunday night
[...]
Chengdu police said Li was originally from Jintang county and he may have launched the attacks because of financial problems that resulted from "family discord" and the stress of working away from his hometown.
[...]
Sunday's incident is the latest in a series of stabbing attacks across the mainland. On August 19, a man from Anyang in Henan province stabbed and killed three children, including a three-month-old baby, and wounded 12 passengers aboard a bus before fleeing. He was arrested the next day.

The assailant, who police said had a criminal record, reportedly launched his attack in anger over a family dispute.

In late July, a 40-year-old man, said to be mentally ill, stabbed three diners to death and wounded five others at a small restaurant in Louhu, Shenzhen.

In most country there is a ban on carrying hidden or visible weapons. Unfortunately, list of items which could be used as weapon is far larger than that. A kitchen knife is a household item, used in daily life. What specific policy do you suggest against something like this? What about street vendors, people purchasing knives from Market and carrying them home?

Drugs are banned in almost every country, unfortunately there is no way drug peddlers can be totally weed out. Does it mean we should not put a ban on drugs?

No doubt one can buy a knife easily, but knife culture is different matter, it promotes violent. Much like gun culture problem in the US.

The possession of drugs itself is banned. It doesn't matter if you have it in home or street. Kitchen knife, on the contrary, is a legal item. If I am allowed to posses it, than at some point, I would have to travel with it. What specific policy you suggest can short out this problem? What about street vendors, which I think are still common in China?

My comment on The Washington Post.

Dude you're pathetic! Palestinians have a legitimate cause, quit trying to give credentials to Israel what the heck brought Israel into this? So many non Jews seem to be trying to present Israel in good light in situations that don't reflect the I/P conflict at all. This is unreal, RIP to the dead and I hope for stability in China.

@Chinese-Dragon

Bro, look at this guy...I wish the best for your people but I don't see why anyone would take that path.

You are going in circle, the crux of the discussion here is banning the practice of carry knives, like how drugs are made illegal. If you found with a knife in public places, you'll be charged. It's as simple as that.

Street vendors can always obtain a permit from relevant authority.

Ok, so we have one point, found with a knife in public.

I just bought a knife from store, carrying it home. Or I am lending this knife to some one else. Or I am carrying this knife from my girlfriend's place to my wife's. Or I am taking this knife to be sharpened.

Do you propose that once the knife gets home, it stays there? Cause law wouldn't differentiate between culture and need.

Please change the title and hand out infractions for spreading fake information. And lock the thread. The Uyghur vendor may be a criminal, but there is no evidence that he did this for terrorist and seperatist reasons. He stabbed another Uyghur vendor over a dispute and bystanders.

The dispute had neither anything to do with seperatism nor race, but for commercial reasons.

You can't but China can:

The only way is restrict their movement to certan areas like Martian2 mentioned about israelis keeping Palestinanians to the gaza strip with 50ft walls or use racial profiling like Americans do to middle eastern looking people and blacks.

Plant tracking devices on every Uighurs and criminals.

I wish we can insert tracking device inside their body to monitor every movement. These are dangerous people. Why are they in Hunan, a place they have no business to be in.

After this crime, the Ughur man can run anywhere, now Ughurs are like a bunch of annoying rats hanging out everywhere in China. You can find them in every cities, the most jobs they are doing is robbing, stealing, cheating and killing :omghaha::omghaha:. Their destiny is to end up in jails.

The reason there are many Uyghur criminals in eastern China is not because all Uyghur are criminal, but because Uyghur criminal rackets and gangs moved to other places in China for the express purpose of committing crime and recruited poor and jobless Uyghurs from the Tarim Basin to carry out petty crime. Can you stop with the trolling amd insults?

These are rational responses.

You are telling the truth. Changsha is where I am. You can search many pics and videos through the internet. The dispute lead to an Uyghur killed another Uyghur cruelty and the insane killer also called persons for help and ran out and killed 3 innocent people.

The incidents started off not racially motivated but out of commercial dispute
Lets wait until more info

haha censorship in China? There are - against wilful dispatch of separatism, terrorists movement, immoral or fake, or plots to create social upheavals

They would probably say the same about you being in Xinjiang

If you want to take over their land you have to accept they have their own culture and beliefs which are different to you, they will celebrate their own ways and culture and they will travel to all parts of china

You cant take over their country, call them chinese by force then dont allow them to travel to the rest of china

What are you smoking. NW China has been Chinese land since Han dynasty. It's the fxxking Wiggers whose trying to separate from the mother land claiming they were there first with no evidence. Separatists deserve no mercy.

Simple, show your receipt and ID so police can check to see if you have affiliation with extremist group.

Of course, it's not going to be 100% effective, like any drug law. But still, there has to be some sort of legal restriction, negative reinforce on people's mind. After all, we are not talking petty criminal, but terrorists.

Imagine if guns are easily accessible in China, the situation would have been much worse.

Do you have any proof these uyghur vendors are seperatists? They stabbed each over a commercial dispute. These are ordinary criminals and not related to seperatism.

This is not the place to go into a big China v Uighur debate, but the reality is they have a distinct, unique culture

They probably hate you more then you hate them as they see you as occupiers and oppressors

Now the reality is if you are going to occupy the land in which these people live and have their homes, cities and mosques then they will celebrate their distinct culture regardless of you

If you call them chinese they will then travel to all parts of china as members of your country build homes, mosques, businesses etc but still harbour some negative feeling as they may not really see themselves as chinese

If you dont want them in beijing or other parts of china then give up xinjiang and then keep all the uighurs their, but if you insist on occupying xinjiang then you cant complain when the uighurs start turning up in all parts of china

I was responding to some idiot's claim that Chinese are in Uighur land, instead of vice versa.
