No I'm not hurt. But it's somewhat sadto see people commentating with such finality on things so far removed from their areas of expertise - is this only what education has made us into.

BTW, on that topic, most scholars maintain an opinion contrary to yours, and they were guys that spent over half centuries just studying!

The problem with religion (abrahamic all the more) is that it ends up showing dreams to people of heaven after death, while people themselves rake up hell while on earth.

Look at all those who are going to heaven , people like us, the general masses...at least all the abrahamic faiths believe that their believers are going to heaven, jannah etc. Kam se kam 1 billion people are going...

And these are the people who made earth (which was not less than paradise) , into a living hell: our politicians, our armies, our religions.

And they are going to heaven, in hundred years time , they will make into a hell also .

Without offense, God with all his angel party is going to run the hell (pun intended) out of paradise once he/she/it (gender ambiguous) realizes the kind of company he/she/it has bargained for.

My problem about obsession with religion is that, the obsession with religion is an obsession with the future....an obsession with afterlife.

You don't get that pathway in Islam, you're not 'saved' because you're Muslim. Since we aren't a tribe and don't inherit the Jannah tribe in toto, not all who accept (pprofess Islam) go to Heaven, only a fraction do. Some other people might be admitted, I'm unsure of how that works.

Since other Abrahamic religions are human-tinkered-versions of Islam, I'd say that was always the defined pathway until proponents of the religion, in my opinion, figured out it was a bad selling point, and changed it.

I understand it's hard to think beyond what you know of life here. People don't do there what they do here! They don't even say anything but it is pleasurable for others to hear. And people like that aren't getting there, so don't worry we won't be there to mess things up!

And that is problematic why? You're thinking about the future anyway. If you believe, it's a longer-term future that's it.

The problem with a-religious people is, they're too obsessed at being closed minded towards religion!

First of all, it will not happen as you or anybody else wants it to happen.....if it were up to me, I would already be in heaven/paradise but that is not how it works. Coming to deeds, I am guaranteed access to Paradise as I have embraced the religion and consider it to be the words of Allah but only after I have faced punishments for my bad acts in this life. So if I have only good deeds in this world then I will go straight to heaven. Not only that but deeds also determine what level of Paradise I would be allowed in to. It is said that the place for each individual, who makes it to the lowest level of Paradise, is bigger then this earth and he will get 70 wives, the first and most senior and respected of his wife will be his wife of this world or if this simplifies it, the wife of a man in this life will be his most respected and senior wife in paradise along with dozens of other wives.

So I don't know where either Osama or Gandhi are, however, I try to be a good person so that I am put in heaven and not placed in hell for even a second.

So whats for the women folk..will they get 70 husbands?

Yes, maybe, only Allah knows. And please bear in mind, Mr. Mav3rick told you about 70 wives, Islam didn't, or it would have come with a reference. If the man or the woman gets only one spouse, Mav3rick is responsible!

It's because we have a firm belief in the after life and we have clear instructions to follow to ensure we end up in paradise. But we also have a moral and religious obligation to help others and guide them towards the correct path. Our belief is that non Muslims will not be allowed to enter paradise and so we try our best to convert as many people as possible for their entry in to paradise.

When we seem obsessed or happy about rise in conversions to Islam, it's only because we are happy for the individual.

If there are clear instructions then why do you see so many different versions Islam. If they are clear how can they misinterpret them?

You remind me of that Anjum Choudhary guy. loooooool We belive (all the Indian religions and not just hinduism) hell or heaven is decided by one's 'Karma'. Religion doesn't play any role. They don't tell us non-Indians don't deserve a heaven or can't go there in afterlife. If they are good human beings then they sure will.

Tell me if you don't sound similar to him. "It's our moral duty to preach our religion and blah blah blah" That's what I'd call radicalization. No offence but true. It is sad to see mass of Pakistan in this state. I'm sure there are many more liberal Muslims in India who don't believe in such cr*p but do athere to Allah so are they not as much Muslims are you guys are?

Jesus Christ was just a prophet and not a son of god may be your view or part of your belief system but you can not say anyone who believes Jesus was a son of god should be killed. Or non-Muslims are this, non-Muslims are that blah blah blah is not preaching your religion but preaching hatred between your fellow humans. I'm sure Quran says all humans are equal?

On this subject, the Arabs are honoured by Arabic, not the other way around. So when one of us says something in Arabic, it could be for another reason. Thinking in monocolour may dull your mind, honest advice.
