India should not spend another dime in developing fighter jets. It can get better ones abroad that will cost less money for the Indian tax payers.

Name another jet that would cost us less than Tejas. Before you reply, think of where all the money spent on tejas goes to - back into the indian economy, creating jobs and developing expertise. And if we spend it on foreign jets, the money goes out of india forever. Now consider also that it comes at half the cost of foreign fighters, and has all the capabilities an aircraft in its category can have, are better than thee bulk of china's or pak's airforce, and tell me which fighter can we get from abroad at a lower cost to the economy.

You got to have some FAITH "faithfullguy" :D
His very platform will produce potent Mark-2 and will give India a needed experience for AMCA which any of the purchases won't. This has been discussed over a million times here but .... :D

Dont you think you are trying too hard??

India will take care of her people in proper manner we don`t have dictator party here who rule on his wish...

Say what ever you want but time will show how capable we made this beauty ...

what the hell are those small bomblet thingies underneath the green structure?

guidance system test duds?

Trial/Training bombs, for weapon release trials. You can see them on pics of other IAF fighters too and you can also see the videocams on the orange pylon as well as under the engine (orange), which covers the release. The pic should be from one of the early trials.

Thats true...secondly, even with foreign deals, atleast 30% of the contract value comes back to
India in form of infrastructure development or investments in Indian companies.

If you consider the development cot, than more advance foreign fighters are cheaper. Tejas is probably the most expensive fighter in human history, a plane that is taking 30 years to develop.

No need to do it yourself if you do not have the capability and it's much cheaper to buy them from a foreign source. Finish up ca first and analyze to see if India can purchase for less cost than development

Tejas is more e pensive than f-22 if you look at the development cost as well as the fact that India will induct limited numbers. This is a big waste.
