Media is reporting that despite the firing the gate is being constructed at torkham. This is good. The gate is the thing that must not stop. No matter what border regulations cannot be halted.

As per sources Afghan forces left Kabul for Torkham with lot of armored vehicles, expecting something big.

Hardly surprising. Nawaz is a very non confrontational pm. Remember the kulbashan and Iran India affair and how he isn't saying a thing about it even when in England their media asked about it. This nawaz is a bit different from the 90s nawaz. He is more reserved and doesn't say anything strong. Even if he doesn't want to someone from our end should be making some noise amongst the civilian govt to point out how Afghanistan is wrong here.
