These waderas & jagirdars are sucking blood of poor since British rule - we must put full stop on this. Two things needs to be done by hook or by crook
1- Income Tax on them
2- Minimum wages & fundamental rights for labor working for them.

What is agriculture tax? It should be income tax and everybody should pay it based on their income - no exception and my baradarii have lot of other things to fight

Yes.. Some brainstorming needs to be done. But taxation is must for those rich farmers. Especially after the huge boom in commercial farming, they are earning in crores and paying nil. Thats not fair.

Dude - Who is saying to tax the products? Income tax is on Income/profit of person not sales. And stop fooling mango men with subsidy fraud, the funds for these subsidies come from Indirect taxes (Sales Taxes, Surcharges, Duties) which ultimately the same idiot is paying who is happy with subsidy - infect he is paying more because most of these tax revenue go in corruption. And what do you think cooking oil, packed milk, tea, wheat floor, sugar, salt are not basic necessities of life? Are the manufacturers of these are not paying income tax? and on top of that are you not paying 18% GST?

Only small farmers who own few acres of land sell for cash, the bigger fishes don't sell on cash. Just like certain slab of salaried persons are exempted from income tax, you can exempt smaller farmers and concentrate on bigger fishes.

Feudals controls anywhere from 2/3 to 3/4 seats in national and provincial assemblies.
The army generals are either feudals themselves or bought off by them.
The media rarely talks about feudalism, suggesting they are also bought off by the feudals.

I don't know how relevant it is here, but Kerala, the Indian state where I come from, we had a highly feudalistic and casteist society 80-60 years ago. Land reforms took place because of leftist agitation, and social reform (a mix of Christian missionaries, Hindu social activists and rationalists)

Though the over agitation has driven away industries now =P

So any social reforms spear headed by social revolutions has to be tempered.
