What's new

Fakhri Pasha "The Defender of Madina"

As I said earlier I would've been proud to fight & if need be die under the Ottoman Standard had I lived back then !

Whatever the Ottoman-Arab Rivalry - One does not stick a knife into the last remaining Great Muslim Empire when it is besieged from Enemies from the outside; Muslims owed a duty not to the Caliph nor to the Ottoman State but to their fellow Muslim Turks who were bleeding & dying to protect the Ottoman Empire !

We should have risen above such parochialism as ethno-linguistic nationalism & tribalism & should've supported & not created troubles for our Muslim Turkish Brethren that saw them having to fight not only the Enemy from the outside but the Enemy from the inside - their fellow Muslims....their Brothers in Faith, to protect the last of the Great Muslim States in the World !
However in its last stages when that empire was going ballistically nuts in its last stages and refused to accept the realities of modern times then it need to die and thats what MKA did

Well, well what have we got here.

The crescent is one of the oldest symbols known to humanity. Together with the sun, it appeared on Akkadian seals as early as 2300 BC and from at least the second millennium BC it was the symbol of the Mesopotamian Moon godsNanna in Sumer and Sin in Babylonia, Sin being the "Lamp of Heaven and Earth". The crescent was well known in the Middle East and was transplanted by the Phoenicians in the 8th century BC as far as Carthage (now in Tunisia). The crescent and star also appears on pre-Islamic coins of South Arabia.[3]

Crescent - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Akkadians were Semites obviously. So that claim is also out of the world.

@KingMamba

Wrong. They were originally Mongols.

Barlas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The founder belonged to the Barlas Tribe. A Mongol tribe.

Semitic people are one. Besides there were ancient Semitic civilizations in Yemen, KSA (already mentioned them) and not only Iraq and Egypt. Back then the people were more or less one.

While they are claiming Mongol achievements. That would be like me claiming contemporary Jewish achievements. Mongols are not Turkic people.

@Kaan

Wrong. There is NOTHING called Altaic people.Besides the biggest empire in history was the British Empire.

The Mongols were short-lived and ruled mostly empty land (Siberia, Central Asian Steppes). They left nothing. Known worldwide as nothing more than barbarians.
But again they were not even Turks.

.
No they were Turks, Babur called his empire Mughal because he wanted to say he was the heir to Genghis Khan but his wife was related to Genghis he had no real relation. Again Persianized does not mean anything because then Ummayads were Greekified or Indianized so they invented nothing while Abbasids would be considered Persianized since they got into power through Persian arms and centered their capital around Persian strongholds.

Besides idk how Iraqis or Egyptians would feel about you attributing their civilizations to all Semites? :pop:
Not all semites had anything to do with Babylon, and in fact ancient Egyptians were not even semite civilization many historians say Pharoahs were actually entirely Black Africans.
Mughals were not Turks/mongols except Babur after which they were Indianized and persianized and gave up their turkishness , they only kept the mongol name just to show their noble bloodline that was it. they were now Indians

.
Not Turks. Mongols. Besides all of that was Persian.

Arabs in Spain built alone 10 World Unesco Heritage sites. Google the World Unesco Heritage List concerning Spain.

The Mughals were descendants of one of the sons of Geghis Khan who was a Mongol as we all know.

Chagatai Khan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If that's the logic then we can claim all the contemporary Jewish achievements, LOL.

Crescent is not a Turkic or Ottoman invention. It derives from a pagan symbol anyway.

Which derived from the Arabic scripture. Arabs and Persians already had used extensive calligraphy much earlier. Not impressed.
That's not much man. Babylon alone (Mesopotamia) had literary dozens of many more inventions and much more important.

No, I am just replying in the same fashion as they do. Shattering that false bravado that we hear about in every thread. Even the Arabic Coffee thread.

Anyway did you know that Turkish Coffee is just Arabic coffee?

They were not Persians no Persian claims Mughal Empire as their history but you are trying to attribute it to them to put down Turkic people lolsz?

Actually go look up Al Andalus again the Berbers had more to do with that civilization than Arabs themselves.

I never said it was I just said the reason Muslim countries use it as their own is because of the Ottomans, the reason Europeans think it is an Islamic symbol is again because of the Ottomans. That is influence in of itself.

Doesn't matter where it came from originally, Arabs also took math from Indian sources like 0 and we are thankful of that because if they hadn't we probably would not be able to do half the things we do in the world today.

Yeah but you are asking Turkish people about Ottomans so why are you using Iraqi civilization as your own? Compare it to ancient peninsula civilization no?

Yeah coffee is Arabic I know.

Ohh there were ancient civilisations who used the Moon (an allways and everywhere visible thing) as their symbol so what?

The Islamic value of the Crescent comes from Ottomans thats what matters.

Afghans are much better :P
we'll get you a Ghilzai (pashtunized turks) so you can be on our side and retain your love for turks

Well bring on the hot coal mate, I will pass this test of my passion....

Waisee on a serious note - I'm not fond of Afghans because the few that I've met severely dislike Pakistan & Pakistanis ! :pissed:

They even claim their borders up till Jhelum & the Durand Line null & void !

Hamaraa khateiii haiiin aur humeiiin ko galiii nikalteiii haiiin - Kaiseee Musalmaan Bhai hain hamareiii ? :(

Most of my Pukhtoon friends & family members really dislike Afghans a lot including Afghan Pukhtoons !

Especially my friends from the Tribal Areas - They've got some very fiery things to say about Afghans ! :o:

Yeah coffee is Arabic I know.

The culture, civilization, language etc. was based on Persian and local Indian culture. The Mongols had no culture of any worth so they adopted other cultures.
Besides let me again point out that the Mughals descended from the Barlas Tribe. A Mongol tribe. Not a Turkic tribe.

Mongols are not Turkic peoples.

The origin only matters and that has nothing to do with Turks but Semites. Originally it was a Pagan symbol.

Yes of course every civilization took from others but we are comparing. In my opinion and most historians and people who know history Turkic civilizations have nothing on Semitic or Indo-Iranian civilizations. We all know this if we are honest and objective.

I am actually partially Iraqi on my father's side and back then there was no distinction since all that was just Semitic lands with different kingdoms etc. The word Arab did not exist nor 99% of all the ethnic groups of today. People mixed back and forth.
May I also tell you that the origin of Semitic people is thought to be either on the Arabian Peninsula or Levant.
Well, yet I had a discussion with a few Turkish nationalists about them saying that coffee is Turkish etc.

I could've sworn that this @Kaan fellow had a really long name once upon a time !

Or maybe I'm just imagining things ! :(

That is not entirely correct only the later Mughal emperors were entirely native Indian, when the Mughals first came they used Turkish for their military and Persian for administration while local languages to communicate with the masses.

You cannot give up your blood just by adopting another culture even if Babur was persianized he was still a Turk. Besides Mongols and Turks are the same stock overall just like Arabs and Jews.

Afghan may be taken as a synonym with Pakhtuns at times as well so be careful with the term as you might provoke hostility from Pakistani Pakhtuns :D
I bear no real love for Afghanistan except our shared ethnicity and history but that is it and most of us over here are like that Pakistanis to the death!!

.
Proposed is the key word here. Besides it is just a language. No genetic relations at all. Nor will you even understand a thing of Japanese or Korean. Japanese and Korean culture has nothing to do with Turkic culture, LOL.
Yeah but it still shows that these people have most probably the same ancestors.

Do you understand Hebrew?
