other than TATA we could go with reliance industries or reliance group but TATA is a good partner for defense needs TATA BEL L&T are good options

I doubt we will give such an expensive sidearm to our infantry soldiers but for SF its possible. May be GOI can get too generous and might increase the production of MSMC and give it to every soldier.

Flap is not a big issue. These things might generally have a flap. Look at the module which FINSAS will be having in the video below :

Sir I completely agree with you IA will have a standard sidearm but it will never issue it to each and every soldier.
I know flap is not a big issue but what I was suggesting is to have a design similar to a laptop.

Why the hell are we having two antennas on his helmet well one could be for radio and what about the other one ?:undecided:

US Army gives M9 pistols to its infantry we do the same with ours we just give them older browning hi-power sidearms

WOOH and where did you get that from buddy m9 is the standard sidearm of US army but that doesn't mean that they issue it to each and every soldier truth is NO army does and US army is no exception but yeah if IA feels like giving their soldiers some deadly firepower then I think they should go for a machine pistol like M93 rather than a personel carbine but again there is NO NEED to go for such a weapon as I explained in my post #73:no:

Hey guys according to the reports that are coming i think IA has issued global tenders for almost all the accessories in the above poster as you can see in the tenders issued recently. Indian companies are also free to participate in the tender but its now not sure whether Tata and Rolta-Thales will be providing the equipment for FINSAS program.
Sir it will be greatly appreciated if you can give us the links. BTW I think such an act will greatly increase the cost of this whole FINSAS project.
I think this is the first time our private sector is openly taking part in such a project and IA is doing THIS.
whoever what do you think about this company MKU it do have a long relationship with IA too.

Getting these accesories one thing..... but the training for each and every soldier for use these effectively is a bigest task

Don't worry- if you give the IA the right kit they will develop their own tactics and procedures and usenthisnas effectively as possible. The IA is a professional army, one of the best in the world and will have no trouble adapting. Just look at how effectively the IA uses the outdated kit it has right now.

No the M9 is part of the standard combat equipment of every infantrymen in the US army and you would be hard pressed to find a PFI in Afghan/Iraq without one strapped to his thigh or holstered in his BPJ. It is nessercery in combat environments where reloading make take too long or your primary jams- stand procedure would be to drop to your knee, pull out your secondary weapon (pistol) and break contact. I suspect the reason IA has no done so is due to cost although it seems properly funded SOF are now carrying primary and secondary (usually thigh holstered) as standard and I hope the practice filters down to regular infantry.

Yeah very true I think both IA and IAF loves to buy modern equipment but donot want to spend much on training .:hitwall:

Sir the points you mentioned out here are the same what I said in my post #73 but I still doubt that US army issues sidearm to all the soldiers even I have seen many pics ofUS soldiers without sidearms. BTW regular infantry men fight in fireteams and have the support of their whole platoon so if any soldie'rs primary do get jammed he could be covered by his buddy soldier. Now comming on our IA sir we donot issue sidearms to our officers and NCOs do you really expect them to issuing it to jawans . Sir you do have a point but not a strong one.:azn:

Not every US Army Infantry soldier carries the M9.It's usually issued to soldiers above the rank of corporal, to specialists and to Warrant officers in enlisted category who need a M9 and to most officers along with a M4A1 carbine below the rank of Colonel. The M9 is issued to only those who would need it not everyone for example medics, tankers and helicopter pilots etc.Same applies for Marine Corps although they have mix of both the M9's and MEU's.

well if MKU can provide the IA what it needs for F-INSAS than i'm sure they could be listed as a manufacture/supplier of equipment

BTW is this an Indian company? we need to see more private participation in the defense industry
