Exercise Sea Thunder ends

I would not spend money on surface vehicles but on submarines. It would be nice to have those for underwater tourism for the VIP.

As long as the sub is armed to the teeth, i am fine with it.

You know we can always get commercial sub for tourist.

...We must build a forward base on st martin. With some mid+ short + few long range SAMs. In addtion we can build a sub base there, and an active RADAR station. Lets see who wants to mess with us.:guns:

BD can try Brhamos as well whereas India could explore the possibility of building some of its frigates in BD ship building yards. BD is quite advanced in building ship infact better than India.

..Indeed. we can work constructive ..on an EQUAL basis. profitable for both country.

BDN should cooperate more with IN!

Bangladesh should actively engage with Indian Navy and improve itself. BD can try Brahmos as well whereas India could explore the possibility of building some of its frigates in BD ship building yards. BD is quite advanced in building ship infact better than India.

No thanks. We are not interested. Agree or disagree, you are the potential threat to our national security.

Any pictures guys.

@ Bay of Bengal is not suitable for submarine, its depth is too less.

Maybe near the sundarbans. But it can operate in other parts of the bangladeshi coast.

Average depth of the bay of bengal 2600m

average depth that an average sub can reach 650m to 800m

Coast Guard has a base there already, if they see anything wrong, they can handle it momentarily and call of BN - whose ships always patrol nearby areas and now BAF also from their FOB in COx-Bazaar :guns:. In case if war situation i don't think it will take much longer for Army Engineers to turn St. Martin in a military base with working runways much longer. As long as we are not under any threat St. Martin can contribute to national tourism.

I dont quite agree with that. Our coast guards are doing a fine job in our waters. The media only publishes the failures of the coastguars, but coming from a riverine place, i can honestly say that they carry out their duties really well.

Our coast guards are members of the navy thus they have combat training. The coast guards are always active, since its a part of their job. The will be the first ones to take up arms and be our first line of defense as the navy will need some time to mobilize.

Really? And defend with what? Gun AKA fishing boats or revolvers?

I dont question their training but the belief that they can make a difference by being the first line defence is non-convincing!

Cheers!!!

Actually, they have 4 shanghai II class gunboats and a few coastal patrol crafts. Which i think will be able to hold off the enemy for a while before the navy takes over

That is not enough my friend, and that is my point! They will be sitting duck to heavy attacks.

Cheers!!!
