Exclusive Pictures of Indian Soldiers Killed in Fight with Chinese Soldiers at Ladakh

.
You are speaking a lot of sense. After all, pakistanis are very similar to indians, so this should be expected.
But being a Defence forum, respecting death of solidiars sould be a minimum.
indians celebrate the deaths of innocent people while these Pakistanis are showing no remorse. Alot of difference!

.
Who can imagine a mob attack in these circumstances?
Joe. If you put emotional investment aside for a moment, I have 2 questions, from a purely tactical point of view:

Assuming the encounter was on the Chinese side of the LAC, as many Indian commentators have said, why on earth did the Indian Colonel not anticipate a Chinese ambush or Chinese aggression against his infiltration? Obviously, he was leading his inadequate numbers of unarmed men into the lion's den. What on earth was his intention?

Alternatively, if the engagement was on the Indian side of LAC, again, it's actually a similar question. Why wouldn't the Indians proceed with overwhelming numbers and hand weapons to "expel" the invaders as they would have complete justification in this instance to bring overwhelming force to bear?

What infiltration? If you do not know conditions in these locations, there has been no fixed line that is determined by both sides. Both have been going into the part that the other normally dominates, and with no extraordinary consequences; no gunfire for 53 years, and you might like to contrast that with the situation on the LOC.

In these conditions, would YOU have anticipated an ambush? Or an attack?

His intention was to remind the PLA soldiers that the agreement reached just the same day earlier in the day was to remove the tents that could be seen still standing. This does not amount to either 'infiltration' or to provocation.

Alternatively, if the engagement was on the Indian side of LAC, again, it's actually a similar question. Why wouldn't the Indians proceed with overwhelming numbers and hand weapons to "expel" the invaders as they would have complete justification in this instance to bring overwhelming force to bear?

This again is a fundamental misunderstanding of the LAC. THERE IS NO FIXED LINE CALLED THE LAC. Each side has its own interpretation of the line, and each goes where it thinks the line is. So what is the Indian side, according to you? and what is the Chinese side? People have been wandering back and forth without violence, except to aesthetics, in the form of the banners that are traditionally displayed when patrols meet each other.

Here there was a location, the two sides were in a confrontation, and there were agreements at a senior level to withdraw 2 kms to within their own side of the LAC. It was this agreement that was sought to be reminded and that met with the reaction that it got.

I am just curious how downed the morale of entire Indian forces must be at this very moment. I mean this is not what has been propagated to them on a daily basis during their career, what they know is how things should have been in their beloved Bollywood eshtyle. This kind of whooping is not something they dreamed even once.

27th February and now this.. Tch Tch Tch!
