Turkey repressing Kurds and calling freedom for Uighurs is a matter of double standards.

So is the anti-Israel rhetoric after killing of 9 innocent Turkish citizens and not doing anything concrete.

Turks need to understand that no matter what they do, US (which controls the EU) will not allow it's entry to EU.

Turkey is not calling freedom for Uyghurs,i havent heard such a thing. Turkey is not repressing Kurds because its impossible.You cant repress 1/4 of you population.

Turkey-Israel relations really deteriorated and i dont think its going to be fixed. Thats why Israel is improving its relations with Turkey's neighbors. Turkey took concrete steps and distanced itself from Israel despite the whinings in the USA.

I think i am going to throw up. Bro,noone here really takes the EU future seriously. All we care is "muktesebat" aka "acquis communtaire". All we want is reaching the EU standards for our own good.

And btw you are wrong its France-Germany that doesnt want us in the EU. Anglo-saxons support it.

let me explain to you bro I am of Pakistani origin but I am a Brit citizen and a part of EEC. You must understand that the treatment of Turk by EEC hurt us as much as any Turk we were hoping Turkey would come in. Sometimes if we make a mistake to think it is that we are Turks and we let our hearts ride on our sleeves. We get frustrated so please do not take offence.

we're going to set up a industrial zone (probably tax free) in the Uighur populated regions, which is good for the Chinese and us, since we can produce cheap goods there and the Chinese are probably glad because no one else is investing in that region and they also know that well-fed citizens are better citizens then starving. Its a multi-national forum,we should consider it as an advantage to learn things not to teach things. I can learn about Pakistan and the other can learn about Turkey.

I dont feel offended by the EU as well. To be honest if were a European i wouldnt want Turkish entry too. This is just politics,no need to get hurt or to get anger.

No offense buddy but PKK is a terrorist armed group, i think you are talking about the Kurds.
In Turkey Kurds have the same rights as the Turks, there is no discrimination, at least that is my observation. And of course Armenians in Turkey have their own restaurants and they have their own churches etc.

I am also sure that Uighurs are not as badly treated as some suggests in this forum. So let's keep it cool and let us hope it won't lead to major disagreements between the two countries.
