England's group stage exit at the hands of Bangladesh has come as no surprise to former World Cup winner who claims Eoin Morgan and company are "a nothing side".

The big and small of world cricket have been having their say after a 15-run defeat on Monday meant England were knocked out of the 50-over showpiece - f our defeats from five games coming after a tri-series which had raised expectations.

Bangladesh could now face defending champions India in the quarter-finals, although Gavaskar, in an interview with NDTV, quipped: "I think it would have been easier playing England in the quarters!

"Look at their form. England have won only one game, they are a nothing side.
