In a new scientific achievement for students of Egyptian universities and higher institutes, a team of students of the Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology in Arish created the first Egyptian submarine exploratory used in the field of marine military sciences capable of enforcing search and rescue operations.
The submarine consists of a cylindrical body with ends - conical - semi-spherical, and in the middle there are communication and sensing devices that act to move the submarine in deep sea, and there is a propulsion drive located in the back of the submarine as well as many control fins for different directions..

The submarine is characterized by a solid structure, horizontal and vertical fins, and air tanks, so that they can dive deep distances and can withstand the density and pressure of water depths.

Student Mohamed El Taweel, a member of the team that participated in the Egyptian submarine achievement, said that the team is composed of 11 students and " It took us a period of work and implementation between 10 months and one year at a cost of LE 25,000." He continued: "This is the first Egyptian submarine. Designed on the reality ground by students hands and ready for practical operation "

"I hope the state will adopt the project because it is related to national security, since it is important in the military fields as well as in the development ladder of research for the field of marine engineering industries," said his colleague Islam Mohammed Ahmed, one of the participants in the project.

He added:"We have obtained all the security approvals from the intelligence and border guards to experience the work on nature in the sea water. We also obtained licenses to transfer it from Al-Arish University to Port Said."

There was also a nice car project:

Of all places, Arish University, that's awesome. This is what it takes, they need to allow the youth to flourish and come up with ideas and innovations. This is exactly how it works and then the exceptional ideas that really stand out get picked up by the developing institutions to be put into testing and possibly production.

Looks nice. I like the 2-tone. There were other pretty cool car ideas from last year as well.
