Iranian problem is not technological requirements my friend. Iran is a NANO power. The biggest problem in Iranian aviation industry is its size, budget, industrial capacity and most importantly lesser experience in this field.

Otherwise, Iran has put hands on turbojet and mini-turbofan engines. All of Iranian built cruise missiles are using homemade turbofan engines. I don't want to pollute this thread with my images from Iranian cruise missiles but Iran is capable of producing them locally.

As i said, biggest hurdle is industrial weakness, Iran can barely mass produce Kowsar fighter jet which is an F-5 clone with 4th generation avionics. It would be like trying to produce lastest version of Mercedes in production line of old Antique car. You have the tchnology but you lack the industrial capacity.

The defense minister also said that we will have a big shift in strategies. This one sentence is important, Iran has made missile program its top priority among other military projects. It consumes a major part of the defense budget hence no room for fighter jets.

When Russians denied Iran the S-300 PMU2 air defense system, defense ministry specified a large amount of budget for Bavar-373 project. Today it is on par with S-400.

I am sure that the defense minister meant to say that we will do the same in aviation industry. We have to wait and see, if Russians don't agree on our terms, we will have to go our own way. Even if its hard and time consuming.
Exactly. Iran is NANO power.

4 major fighter-jet deals could reshape the Middle East's biggest militaries for decades to come.

1) Turkey Vipers
2) Iran Flankers
3) Iraq Rafales but more likely more F-16s
4) Egypt's F-15s
Since making peace with Israel in 1979, Egypt has primarily been a US arms client, amassing F-16s, AH-64 attack helicopters, and M1 tanks.

On the other hand, Egypt was never allowed buy F-15 Eagles despite the US agreeing in principle to sell them and even though the US sold them to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, neither of which established diplomatic ties with Israel. In 2002, the US and Israel "reached a series of understandings" regarding US weapons sales to Egypt, one element of which was a ban on Egypt buying F-15s.

While Egypt did eventually acquire F-16s — it now has the world's fourth-largest fleet — it never got the AIM-120, severely limiting their air-defense capability.

Having been denied the F-15 for nearly 40 years, Egypt turned to Russia, ordering nearly four dozen MiG-29s for $2 billion in 2014 and then two dozen Su-35s for $2 billion in 2018. While the Russian jets couldn't exchange data with Egypt's US-made aircraft, Cairo hoped they could operate as an "air force within an air force" and partially redress its limited air-to-air capabilities.

1690658737896.png

Egypt has since backed out of the Su-35 deal, likely because of the threat of US sanctions and because the war in Ukraine may affect Russian arms exports.

Luckily, Egypt's chance to finally acquire the F-15 may also have emerged. In March 2022, Gen. Frank McKenzie, then head of US Central Command, told lawmakers that "I think we have good news in that we're going to provide them with F-15s, which was a long, hard slog."

Israel's consent (lol! This is why the EAF needs to move away from this and any future US acquisitions as far as fighter jets go) and is crucial to any Egyptian F-15 purchase, but it will likely agree. After all, Israel began receiving the more advanced F-35 in 2016 and, with its recent order for another 25, it will likely have 75 of those stealth jets by the time Cairo receives its very first F-15s.

I don't think the EAF will agree to the F-15s if all the rumors of the deal being very limiting to the EAF's needs to have bigger & better jets and their weapons.

The F-15 is still a highly regarded air-superiority fighter after almost 50 years in service, and any sale of F-15s to Egypt would be noteworthy, as Cairo has been waiting nearly as long to buy them.

Which IMO means they shouldn't touch those things with a ten-foot pole! Even if the AIM-120 is included with them and a large F-16 viper upgrade as well, the trap will only get extended for longer periods of time. I also think that if the Su-35s go to Iran, that will strengthen Egypt/Iranian ties in many ways. Something that would backfire on that horrible complete bending of the knee.

Ask a turkish a friend of mine who is "expert" on the turkish defence industry. I ask him to ID the vehicle and he said that it is a FNSS Pars.

The Turks hope that Egypt will be a defensive market for their products, but there are other important things

A simple example is the Turkish armored vehicle PARS IV 6x6 km, which Turkey will sell to Egypt. We assume that Turkey sells it at a price of 1.5 million dollars, and Egypt will get it at a preferential price of 1 million dollars
Egypt has much better and cheaper solutions that make the Turkish product unable to compete at all
Egypt gets a TATRA chassis 6x6 HIGH MOBILITY HEAVY DUTY CHASSIS
T 815 - 7T3B31 6x6.1R
1690666958735.png

At a price of 150 thousand dollars, Egypt installs an armored body 6 * 6 on it with complete Egyptian components, such as a body made of armored steel, weapon towers, vision systems, 360 cameras, local FCS, and a BMS system. Therefore, the ineffective cost of the armored vehicle in Egypt becomes 500,000 dollars. If Egypt wants to address it, it will export it with a million dollars, then simply Is Egypt going to buy a Turkish armored vehicle as long as I can produce a similar one at a low cost? Of course not

You can simply get 1000 chassis in one year from TATRA or even produce it locally if the economic demand for it is in the thousands.

The same thing, the AKANCI plane was exported by Türkiye at a price of 20-30 million dollars Egypt is simply able to obtain the largest plane, WING LOONG 3, at a price of 10 million dollars, without any quantitative restrictions, even by transferring technology from China, as long as the numbers are economical. hp assuming PW PT6A engines
In the past, Egypt cooperated with MRTP-20 launchers and obtained 3 from Turkey, and after severing military relations, Egypt produced it with Japanese engines locally at a lower cost and without any quantitative export restrictions or even any modifications.

Any cooperation with Turkey must depend on the extent of the actual benefit to Egypt and not to make Egypt a market for Turkish products at the expense of local manufacturing or without Egypt obtaining more important benefits.

Egypt has lot of options for defence equipment:
Turkey
India
Europe
US
China
If you people act smartly, you can get a lot of ToT from different defence companies especially those who have not matured yet.

NEW: Latest version of the Egyptian-made ST-500 Light Tactical Vehicle (LTV), equipped with low-flying objects detection radar integrated with (Eagle-1) 12.7mm RCWS and what looks like a C-UAS system..

The Egyptian radar P-01 Bardawini designed and manufactured by Military Technical in cooperation with the Banha Factory. It detects very small drones and ground targets. It works in the X-Band frequency. It can detect a drone with a radar clip of 0.01 meters from a range of 3 km and a target with a radar clip of 1 meter, like a human from a range of 7. km and a small land vehicle with a section of 10 meters from a range of 14 km and a vehicle with a section of 100 meters from a range of 25 km.

lol

You are not in a level to demand things, good luck with your demands :p:. You should be thankfull that Turkey is treating you like a human. This topic is one of the funniest topic of PDF, give as an example your Tejas and F50 deals:p:. Then going to Pakistan JF17, then go back to SK and Indians.

Speak politely, young man, for you are as small as your country

It is clear that you, as a Turk, do not understand who humiliated the restoration of relations with Egypt
They are the Turks
And the Turks who display their products
We, as Egyptians, are people of civilization and knowledge of thousands of years We are not a barbaric tribe that came from East Asia, or a country with a dirty colonial history, famous for crimes and massacres, hated by all its neighbors like yours.

You are the ones who display your products, and you are the ones who invited the Egyptian military to visit your exhibition. We choose, and we are not obligated to deal with you. We deal with Europeans, Germans, French, Italians, Koreans, Japan, China and India. As for you, let you and your products go to hell. Military and a request for military training cooperation, and now you claim that you are the one who provides us with technology

FNSS Defense Systems Inc
FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş. (English: FNSS Defense Systems A.Ş.) is a Turkish defense manufacturer founded in 1988. It is owned 51% by Nurol Holding of Turkey and 49% by British–American firm BAE Systems Inc., and operates facilities located in Gölbaşı, Ankara.
It is a company in which the British participate, and they are a hostile country to Egypt, and we do not welcome military cooperation with them at all, so let alone a Turkish-British alliance, that is, a hostile alliance.

We do not need you, and this method of yours will have a violent response and will be against any cooperation that we reject and do not desire in the first place, so let you, your products and your country go to hell. We do not need you. You got the ships’ technology from the Germans, and you got the electronics, radars and armored vehicles from Israel and the artillery from South Korea. On a long series of drones from Israel and America, simply why do we cooperate with you when we have the original sources? The FA-50 is better than Turkish garbage, and even the JF-17 is better than Hurjet. You are the ones begging America to give you a modest copy of the GE-404 engine. The Mediterranean and we force you to get out of Libya. You are the ones who begged us for the return of relations. You are dignity that you do not know. You are slaves of money. So you are promoting your equipment for the sake of money. We do not need you. Your lies were exposed in the past several times by the sources, but you are alive and have no dignity. We are the ones who imposed their will on you and oppressed you, and who forced you to leave your army from Libya. Is there more humiliation for you than this?

Egypt is neither very willing to meet Turkey's expectations from a normalization of ties. Cairo has no intention of disrupting the energy equation in the Eastern Mediterranean in favor of Turkey, and in this context, forgetting about the relations it has established with Greece and the Republic of Cyprus. Of course, in non-overlapping areas with Greece and Cyprus, an agreement determining partial maritime jurisdictions can be expected. The possibility of Turkey entering the Eastern Mediterranean Energy Forum with observer status can also be added to Ankara’s expectations.

All in all, while there are overlaps in the obstacles to Iranian and Turkish normalization with Egypt, the Ankara-Cairo track requires more serious steps and a willingness to adopt policy changes

Egyptian-made ST-500 Light Tactical Vehicle (LTV), equipped with low-flying objects detection radar

Hard to tell if this new feature on the ST-500 allows that radar to rise on a boom so it can gain better detection height and be able to spin. At first glance it doesn't appear as if it would have the space to spin while it's at that low position, but hard to tell for sure. Either way, they seem to really stretch the obviously great flexibility a good and well-working product gives you.

Very cool how many of these recently, locally produced systems are actually already being fielded with their own CUAS or even CIWS.

The boom might be possible if it is going to operate in a static position..not sure either if it has enough space to rotate fully.. but the base is circular..so some rotation is possible.. also it is inclined a bit..and that is all it needs for a low altitude detection..

ST-500 size is excellent, as well as its mobility, its engine is good and it provides great performance
The role of the tactical APC with light armament is completely appropriate for it, and It is noticed that the Egyptian leadership put its focus on this point as the ST-500 was not equipped for more tasks..

But actually look at the body of the vehicle and its capabilities
It easily accommodates anti-tank towers, for example, MTAS

1690764057782.png

And also light air defense such as MISTRAL ATLAS

1690764545325.png

and small turrets such as ROAYA for a light FSV role..

Yep, it's so new actually that we haven't seen any pics except for those in the one or two co. pics showing this year's ST-5000 improvements and new systems on them, so hard to know for sure. That whole radar/armored vehicle thing about this ST-500 is a good indicator those items are doing well.

Bardawiny looks really good. Those are some great numbers for the ranges on the different configurations considering the small and perfect size for any armored vehicle.
