What's new

East Pakistan loss was a Political not a Military failure, says COAS

Gen Ayub was CMLA (58-71) and then came Yahya. With Bhutto, your installed FM.

The establishment was POLITICS. And if East Pakistan loss was a political debacle, the establishment was knee deep in it.

Please don’t think Pakistanis are stupid.

Release Hamud-ur-rahman commission report then. It was a military failure as Bengalis were denied their rights since 1957-58. ML lost to AL in that election.
Well, seems he forget the Ayub Khan humiliation remarks about Bengalies on an official visit to Bangladesh or oppose the majority party Awami League mandate and didn't let Mujib form the govt and send him to jail. On top killed Fatima Jinnah the PML leader.

منہ کالا کرنے کے لیئے بلڈی سیویلیئنز کو آگے کر دو

The sad part is that it always works. And so it shall be after the next elections too.

Let’s say he was not involved in politics after February.

So can it be assumed, he was involved in uniting the broken PDM, forcing the judiciary’s hand, getting ECP selected, meeting Showbaz who used to come under the car’s trunk, throwing tantrums on DG ISI appointment, getting PTM traitors back, allowing criminals to VNC, planning the regime change etc.

This speech alone, reeks of involvement in political engineering pre February, will get him court martial proceedings, but this is Pakistan.

Let this Bastard retire, and then, I believe that IK will open up about him.

More than a failure on Pakistan part it was a resounding success on India part. The largest single surrender of soldiers since the second world war. The creation of a new nation state. Not even the US or Russia have been able to manage that since. It is simple. We have communal divisions. You have ethnic ones. You tried your best but could never go anywhere with exploiting our divisions. We hit once, and hit hard, and that was all it needed. We won. You lost. Let us finish the game at this score now. It's what Russia was telling Ukraine early on this year. Now look. And imagine if in 2022 India would have had to face China as well as Pakistan on three of her flanks. With nukes pointed at us from all three.

Terrorism on the rise, Right wing hindu facists firmly in charge of India and openly threatening to annex territory, economy collapsing - this buffoon wants to talk about 71.

what else do you want him to say!!!! it was a mutual failure, but we never learned from that experience....

Pakistan lost Bangladesh because of military failure, not political failure.
Pakistan has failed politically in Balochistan too, but it's still a part of Pakistan till today.

That report was paid for by Bhutto.
