This is the kind of wording I was waiting for. The military has taken notice and will likely deal with this properly.

People who want there to be a bloodbath would probably be disappointed, however, anyone who remembers how they dealt with MQM and TTP knows that iur military has a different approach compared to some others now.

Killing a bunch of protesters would just create pointless martyrs - Model Town incident like. Why should they send in soldiers to potentially cause a complicated situation to arise why they can use the Intelligence apparatus at their disposal to do it discreetly.

As for the wording, this is the harshest I've seen in a long time. So, going by the wording, my guess is that the military leadership has taken a serious notice of this and are not easily going to let this fly.

Our military has learnt it's lesson for the Bangladesh episode. They prefer to talk diplomatically and prefer to act discreetly. It has especially been the case recently - and they seem to have finally mastered it.

Create a strong counter-narrative. Use Islam to destroy their claims. Use the legal system to show that they are way outside of it, whether based on the "secular" constitution or Islamic principles.

Start picking up and "disappearing" the most firebrand ringleaders. Let them taste a hint of the fear they like to instill in others. Start with the guy openly calling for mutiny in the army.

Consequences are a very strong negative incentive for such goons. Without consequences, we are accepting anti-state behavior.
