Partition was done for the wrong reasons - individual ambitions of people like Jinnah using the religion card and not caring about the millions of lives and bloodshed. However it ultimately turned out to be a good thing for India in that in one swell swoop they got rid of a huge contingent of would be terrorists. Imagine - these guys can cause such trouble from across the border, it'd have been lot worse if they all had Indian passports! Unfortunately the common people paid the price in both sides

You know, as much as I despise your lot, I have to agree that evolution is pretty much fact lol and anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're saying.

Still doesn't mean I'm no longer a hardcore Salafist though.

He's only intelligent in religious matters (not just Islam but also other religions too) but when it comes to just about everything else he's not the brightest, as he's a holocaust and evolution denier.

However, he did study as a doctor so I guess he knows his sciences.

Interesting to see that he stayed most of his adult life in England, and very little time in Pakistan.

He moved briefly to pakistan after Independance. But he was very unhappy with how Pakistan turned out and actually left it and went back to England under a cloud of disputes.

Sad thing is that there was no money to pay for his funeral and that Cambridge paid for his funeral from its own funds!!!

Now Pakistanis will hate Zakir Naik. Before the independence the Islamic parties such as Jamaat-e-Islami always opposed the creation of Pakistan. It is irony that Jinnah, a non devote Muslim with a taste for Wine and other non Islamic things, created Pakistan as a homeland for South Asian Muslims to save Muslims from the onslaught of majority Hindus. I say he failed. Now South Asian Muslims are divided into three parts and living in three different country with 2/3 rd of the total South Asian Muslims living in India a Hindu majority state, and Bangladesh a secular country. And the very parties that opposed creation of Pakistan now have the upper hand in Pakistan politically and in the minds of Pakistanis.

Bangladesh isn't secular, neither is Hindustan or Pakistan. We are all religiously minded.

Oh and Jinnah quit alcohol at the end of his life.

A Pakistani Hindu, Christian, Sikh is worth a million times more to me than that Salafi dog.

My post was not about Jinnah, neither am I criticizing Jinnah, and I certainly believe drinking wine and eating pork are personal preference and no one has the right to question ones personal preference...my post was about how you failed Jinnah.

I don't mind failing Jinnah if he wanted secularism, since it's haram and regarded as kufr to not rule by Sharia.

He might have not known this, or perhaps he wasn't secular in the first place (evidence for his supposed secularism isn't the strongest). I still respect the fact that he created Pakistan though, and had good intentions.
