Does US install secret sensors in military equipment given to Pakistan?

.
I have no or very little knowledge about this matter but what really makes sense is IF there is something like this (potentially) one should move towards ingenious products.

This is what exactly Pakistan is doing as well , in coming years Pakistan would not look towards USA to supply most of the major equipment such as Fighter jets .

Other military hardware and equipment would be continued to come from US .

IMO Pakistan must become self sufficient in all major hardware production to avoid impact of sanctions and any scenario being described in this Thread.

AmeriCANs do anything to uphold their superiority. But I doubt that they play foul with their customers.

Every US Military hardware has secret weapon...

NO TOT!

Isn't it enough?

Defense hardware today are slaves of software codes and applications. Almost all major defense manufacturers, whether they be US or Europeans, when they supply any critical military hardware (such as aircraft, radars etc) to foreign countries they always have a KILL CODE application pre-installed. This application may have variable functions depending on the nature of the equipment & its eventual end-use. Any US equipment provided to the Pakistan Defense forces have the KILL CODES built in for the sake of any worst-case scenarios. These codes are developed by National Security Agency (NSA) and they can be initiated in a number of remote or direct ways. Case and point: The recently provided BELL 412 helicopters to SPD 'directly' by the US Government are susceptible to such KILL CODES or HOMING BEACONS. Since these helicopters are going to be mainly used for shuttle back and forth to the tactical sites all over Pakistan, so it is very easy for the USA to map over a period of time & based on the trajectories relayed by the HOMING BEACONS, the entire network and layout of our nuke sites.

Another example was the Iraqi Radars and Anti-Aircraft Batteries KILL CODES provided by the Russians to the US during the first wave of US aircraft bombing run on Baghdad in Desert Storm One. Not a single Iraqi Radar System (whihc were quite advanced and well networked) was able to detect the US in coming aircraft.

The irony is that we know that such tech exists in all that we get from the powers that be (except China). And yet the true test comes on how we use the applied tech with this virus pre-installed.

"I guess the same is also true for military hardware; we don't have the money or the resources to waste on monitoring stuff we've sold to our customers."

That's because we don't worry about most of our customers. Some merit further monitoring. Like Pakistan.

It's common knowledge in certain circles that all PAK BLOCK-52 F-16s come with some very miniturized unique components which aren't readily identified as an aircraft feature.

There's an amazing amount of room in an F-16 fuselage once the engine is pulled.

Tch Tch...very sad to hear my friend.
Anyways it is still better than excess wheat or Soybeans...

For certain kinds of actions it would not be necessary to actually plant anything in the equipment. Just knowing electronic transmission codes and sequences, signatures of engines, vulnerabilities to variuos missile maneuvers, failure modes of various subsystems, etc., would give the manufacturer (i.e the USA, Russia, China, France, Sweden or whoever) a potential lethal advantage over a "customer" who was using the manufacturer's equipment, if it came to actually fighting the customer. Also, some critical performance information could be withheld to allow for a future advantage.

So you are adding to the possibility of such equipment provided by you to your friends, including Pakistan. I also wonder what is the reason American would provide "some" equipment for land, (howitzers), air (F-16) and surprisingly for the sea (American frigate coming in 2010). The equipment that is actually used for spying (like drones) is never handed over and everything that could be a possible source for America to spy on us is made available.

If your statement is true, one is better alone than having a friend like America.

President Ayub had said,
America as an enemy is dangerous, but as a friend, it is disastrous.

and who will give you the source codes ? leave alone tot on hardware...

Even on any ToT; SOURCE CODES for western critical electronics equipment are generally off limits and not for sale for ALL foreign hardware buyers!

. .
Source Code?

I thought South Asians (Especially Indian & Pakistanis) are MASTERS in breaking SC.

^^

If what you say is true, this is worrisome with regards to our f-16 procurement... I'm sure America has the capability to render them useless whenever they wish by the click of a button, what's to say they haven't put such measures in place?

well it could b more dangerous though
there are some devices that tracks and can submit info about many things and such devices are found to b very small nearly about 1 inch^2
and these can track paths and other info as well (like speed, data, connections, and many other things) if they are connected to certain wires i.e flight data controllers or main jet pc's

i m not sure what Americans are doing but still i m worried
@ others
dont make laugh click..click..click B serious yar

I think its a nice topic, I remember this spying thing is pretty old maybe some senior member can put some light on why PIA sold Trident II E passenger planes to some other country in early 70s, one of the reason I was told that it had some tracking or spying device installed in it (A Spy camera) which PIA engineers found that out during maintenance.

I cant provide the source as this is pretty old, as I said earlier maybe some senior members can put some lught on it.
