The USA has. The USN Carrier USS Essex has been preserved. So has an ex-Iowa class Battleship. Heck; even an old WW2 Liberty class Cargo ship has been preserved in San Pedro Harbor. Ask
@SvenSvensonov about it.
Very true my friend, but the USS Essex CV-9 was actually sold for scrap and not turned into a museum. However, four Essex-Class Air Craft Carriers are museum ships, along with one Midway Class, and one Kitty Hawk Class (and the only ship of the class) being proposed as a museum ship.
