Diplomatic row jeopardizes $1.5B helicopter deal between Turkey and Pakistan

The deal seems off now given no engine..turkish engine will see competition again with z10 and will be probably reevalauted ...
I agree with you on some extent but, IMO, it is likely that you guys might go for the T-629 instead. An ITAR-free and improved T-129 Atak with the national transmission and engines with the same price. Don't forget that the Z-10 lost to the T-129 for a reason. But anyway, of course I would be sad if the deal seems off but I wish the best for Pakistan. It is highly likely in the future that we will export attack helis to other nations even if we can't export them to Pakistan.

turkeys military industry fails again
Thank you our beloved expert for your precious ideas! What a joke... Yes you're right and that's why our exports are rising... Get the f@ck outta here you troll

Engine and metallurgy are very sensitive issues. Almost no country accepts the sharing of technology secrets. Money cannot be bought

Chill guys. Wait and see.
Despite everything, Everyone knows that one comes out even stronger after encountering hardship. I personally believe that eventually, we will have Turkish attack helicopters in our inventory, even if there is a delay of up to a couple of more years. Meanwhile, we might go to contingencies and get Z-10s (upgraded) in the interim and keep them, so as to counter the threat from the East and maintain COIN operations.

The most appropriate solution is to invest money in a joint project with a more experienced country. Through a collaborative process to receive TOT or steal technology secrets. But not all cases succeed. For example, the Su-57 project. Indians want secrets of Russian engines, metallurgy, electronics and stealth. But they failed and decided to withdraw from the project

I don't get the people around here. It would've still taken the same amount of time to get your helis in the production line even if there was no engine problem with the US. TAI is saying that the T-629 ITAR free attack heli with the TS-1400 national engine will make it's maiden flight in this year and the T-625 Gökbey utility heli will fly with the TS-1400 in this year but still we can't tell that to the Arab trolls here. Again, regardless of what happens, I wish the best for Pakistan. Of course I would be sad if the deal is off but it is highly likely in the future that we will export attack helis to other nations even if we can't export them to Pakistan. So, as you said, let's wait and see...
