Developments and Turkish operations in Libya

The US will be in a difficult position... Either being with a NATO ally(TR) or with Allies (EU/UAE/EGY etc...) and knowing current situation btw the US and TR... I wouldn't bet my hand on this.

If Russia does not withdraw its support for the Caliph Hafter, America will have to put pressure on the Russians. The alternative leaders that the US or others can bring do not seem to have a counterpart in the current conjuncture.

RU support to Hafter is limited... Almost non-existent... more like a Moral support than anything else.
Most of the job is Done by themselves, then UAE/EGY and some EU countries.

If you are sure that the majority of Turks will accept the End of their current way of life... then it could work... otherwise... it's a No.
It's Turkey's time now!!! The majority would be fine...

When the "Terror Corridor" in the Southern Syria was dismantled, did the majority of the Turkish folks feel anything???

As for the temporary "ups" and "downs", the Turkish folks endured way much harder times in the past....

This could be like no other "before"...
The Libyan conflict could open the path for even more... everything could spiral out...
But IMO your pop isn't ready yet... you core Ideology is to self centered... Afterall Nationalism isn't meant for Expansion... but more for Rebuilding/Keeping something.
Therefore an Ideological shift will occur... and that is "Islamisation"... but both ideologies are like Water and Oil... they do not mix... they tend to fight each other till they get seperated...

One of the Biggest fight will be an Internal one...

This fight isn't "ideological", it's "existential"....
As for the "Islamists" vs "Nationalists", IMO the clear demarcations are getting blurred with every passing day...

To acknowledge an Existential threat you need to make sure your ideological base is willing to accept that same threat... Depend of the Ideology... Threats are different.
I agree that Islamist and Nationalist demarcation is getting blurred with every passing days... But does it swing more toward an Islamic "Vision" or a "Nationalistic" one... and that's the core point.

IMO, it's more like a "Turkic" one - Ertu'rul style...

My friend, if we don't care about anything then we will be isolated and crippled economically. Sometimes in politics it's not the best to go all out, you have to stop at times, however, I do agree we did give many compromises in Syria.
The only way for TR to succeed with her intervention in Libya with her current situation is to get an open invitation and go full in, without giving a sh*t about RU fake deals/meetings and US/EU sanctions... and most importantly be the FIRST international force on the ground...
By pushing that way... US/RU/EU will not engage on the ground, mostly as suppliers... But TR will have to spend a lot of money/blood... and face sanctions that will lead to a part of Turks to protest against the gov... Therefore making it that TR lost to its own people...

If you can't supply as much as Haftar suppliers... then better stop here as it will only be a waste of money and political tension.
As for those bases... closing them may happen in a very critical future... but I do not think that sanctions against TR will push the Gov to make such move.

If someone wants to understand majority of Libyan people including Sirte, Misrata and Tripoli, should take this issue with its historical depth.

Libya is firstly a Tribal Issue... Politics of allegiance on core assets...
The Turkish "Shadow'/"Allegiance" is a way to play with current geopolitical maiden...

Believe me... There is nothing on the ground linked to Turkish "Identity" and it, being used against X or Y.
The Bey Era was an Era different from other region of the Empire... Where Autonomy and self-Identity was the norm and therefore the Image of that Era is nothing compared to Al Sham/Levant/Egy and Iraq.
