Developments and Turkish operations in Libya

Ther one treu Justice and that is power. Agreements and human rights or democracy is shit. Look to the EEZ zone in the meditreanean sea, Greece is declaring his own EEZ non of the fakin Eu countries talking about. Turkey declare his own EEZ and everybody is shocked.

We should show our middle finger to EU, Us or Ru. And do our thing. Un Nation and all can suck it.

For that... you will need a population that is united in hardship behind her gov... But that isn't the case.

. .
When it comes things like this, people will be united.
In the past few years... We saw another reality.
TR is not yet ready for such hardship... A lot of people aren't ready to let down their privileges/way of life/holidays/luxury etc... for a fight they do not think is worthy...
Do you think The great majority of Turks will accept a Gov who's gonna fight in Libya... and that will literally put the country years behind?

Look at Syria... compared to what could be in Libya... it's 100x easier and yet... Look at what happened in those past few years...

You need to have an "Excuse" to be on that "Interventionism" position... that require total control on the pop...whatever under an Iron rule or a survival point... and TR lacks both of it... You gov is still a Democracy... and TR existence/culture/religion/identity isn't threatened... Therefore based on a "Nationalist" paradigm you guys are limited...

Maybe years of sanctions could create such sentiment that could be used for such purpose... but till then... Libya/Syria will be over and taken by the other side...

You ancestors already had their "Excuse" for Intervention/Expansion and that is Islam/Protection... but that was in another time...

I have the bad feeling they are willing. Thats the problem.

. .
Here's the point you missed;
We do not pursue a simple land here like in Syria. There in lies the key to Turkey's superpower is.
Turkey started to export its oil and gas all day that equations such as Saudi Arabia, Russia will have been turned upside down.
In the meantime, yes, the US Navy can undoubtedly exercise on the Turkish continental shelf in the Eastern Mediterranean. But please don't be surprised if the Turkish navy exercises the Russian navy the next day.

The thing is... The main problem is not an individual entity here and there... no...
You will have everyone against you working together... From the US to RU...to Greece... to Israel... to EU... to EGY and so on... Anyone who've got a Navy in that region will play along with each others to counter you.

And TR navy isn't enough to maintain a one on one statut quo...

It's a hard decision... Libya is difficult... for now... you need to win something at your borders first...
TR have to use the same determination that you wish to put in Libya/Med sea into Syrian op... it's the only solution for now to keep your pop sort of happy and still have some power in the region...

OR play the madman, the one who give no sh*t... like some of your great Ancestors... But for that... TR will have to operate a profound shift in ideology... that will lead to internal conflicts... Btw the expansionist (in this exemple Islam driven expension) and Nationalist(Turkey First and Only)

With 70 cents in the treasury they fought their way out in Cyprus!!! The Turkish folks look invigorated only when a winnable war shows up; otherwise, they look gloomy...

We're born in our homes, and we die at the battle fields - a Turkish saying

*Libya is a winnable war
**Nations remain the most united during the time of a war with external enemies

But that's the problem you have no direct enemy that is threatening your existence.
There is no war.

TR of yesterday is not TR of today and those last 7 years of Syrian conflict was your witness... The TR population is yet ready to accept the end of their "way of life" for an external conflict.

Libya is very much a component of the security calculus of the Turkish EEZ, which is under threat!! Hence, the Turkish establishment is almost unanimous in defending Libyan UN recognized regime against the thugs funded by the Haram rulers with the Haram money....

I don't think Russia has a chance in Libya. The US will not allow it to get so close to NATO's backyard. I think the Russians are aware of this and they don't officially exist in Libya.

Being a Supplier / Supporter is one thing... But Direct Intervention is another thing...

The US will be in a difficult position... Either being with a NATO ally(TR) or with Allies (EU/UAE/EGY etc...) and knowing current situation btw the US and TR... I wouldn't bet my hand on this.

No pains no gains...

Sometimes you need to take calculated risks...

Seeing the media, close to the Turkish government, it looks like Turkey is ready to take the risk for she knows other folks won't go out of their comfort zones....

If you are sure that the majority of Turks will accept the End of their current way of life... then it could work... otherwise... it's a No.
