Destroy all churches in Gulf region: Grand Saudi Mufti

This is called intolerance towards facts... When @Color_Less_Sky mention Idols as filth, he was left alone. When I stated the truth I was given -ve rating.

If religious discussion is banned, then why don't you ban , religious threads??

You obviously did not read my very first comment on this thread. And if killing ones daughter to save himself from being ashamed in society is not filth then I don't know what is.

Camel lovers are sinking deeper and deeper. They had the once in a millennium opportunity in last six or so decades but they have been nothing but a disaster to them selfs to Islam and to the humanity.

Just tell me the names of those idols that were worshiped there?

For historical or non historical facts even your countrymen would not support you, and you are contradicting more than half of populace on this planet by just saying you won't believe it because it is not historical fact according to you.

I just quoted Greek historians.. They wrote what they saw in Arabian peninsula.. I don't know what idols they were... Science need facts.. Being Hindu I never believed in my elephant God or monkey God.. There is no evidence that such ppl ever existed...

Yes it is, Did I ever contradict this statement???

There are many ill in society, those ills get out by reforms. If you read middle ages history, you will find many such ill.

one was "Slavery".. By becoming civilize and educated human corrected the illness from society.. The discussion is not about social illness.

The discussion was Mufti statement to destroy non-Muslim worship place..

And here is what I said being a Muslim in my very first comment

This went like a rocket over my head

Let us dissect this piece further may be we can reach some conclusion

Which rule is he referring to? Anyone has any knowledge of any Islamic rule that says this? I don't have and may be most of other Muslims are not aware of this rule if this is any Islamic rule. So which rule he is referring to?

It is part of Arabian Peninsula so Churches should be destroyed, but why?................................ Can anyone here help me understand this?

@al-Hasani can you please shed some light which rule is this? And what logic is this?

This is not Muslim vs Non Muslim worship places. If you can answer what rule / logic he is referring to please do let me know.

You would want to make that comparison, wouldnt you? And get away with it as well. I feel happy seeing your open display of envy.
What envy? The comparison is sound. The vhp wants to destroy churches and mosques and consider non- Hindus minorities to be India's enemies, the KKK regard anyone who's not white and Christian as beneath them. The same thing apply to these sheikhs.

There is no envy, just anger at their stupidity.

No, RSS/VHP/BD talk about the religious cleansing (aka ghar waapsi), which is altogether a different level.

Not the authenticity of the report but how it was conceived and later reported, for media is alway on look for spicy material. I'll wait for a couple of days, especially for the response from Imam Saheb.

Lol!! You are so hypocritical its way beyond funny really.

No he is different. VHP has never said that all churches of India should be destroyed.

But they hinted and suggested it through subliminal wording and actions. Mosques and churches are not holy so they can be demolished anytime? Their words, not mine. Rape of nun a christian conspiracy? Again their words, not mine.

He is an Arab, who because of the language, should know better about the teachings of Mohammed (PBUH) who required Muslims not to destroy the worship places of any religion. If this news is true, I am truly amazed at this lunacy.
I'm not sure if this news is true. However I do think that the grand mufti, who understands Arabic language and has studied Islam his entire life, knows more about the teachings of prophet Mohammed (PBUH and his family) than you and any other "PDF Imam/mufti".

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia has said it is “necessary to destroy all the churches of the region,” following Kuwait’s moves to ban their construction.

Speaking to a delegation in Kuwait, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, stressed that since the tiny Gulf state was a part of the Arabian Peninsula, it was necessary to destroy all of the churches in the country, Arabic media have reported.

Saudi Arabia’s top cleric made the comment in view of an age-old rule that only Islam can be practiced in the region.

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia is the highest official of religious law in the Sunni Muslim kingdom. He is also the head of the Supreme Council of Ulema (Islamic scholars) and of the Standing Committee for Scientific Research and Issuing of Fatwas.

A Kuwaiti parliamentarian said last month he wanted to ban the construction of churches and non-Islamic places of worship in the Gulf state.

MP Osama Al-Munawer announced on Twitter he planned to submit a draft law calling for the removal of all churches in the country. He later clarified that existing churches should remain but the construction of new non-Islamic places of worship should be banned.

Saudi still have churches!!!! Strange
