Desi G3OM Makes BrahMos Smarter

Do not go by mathematical meaning of Nano which is 1*10^-9. Nano means small like the word used in nano car. It is already on the agenda of India to make very compact missile with long range. We can certainly put this type of system on our compact missile. It will save a lots of space. We are aiming to build small missile with long range and can be fired in salvo mode.

Sorry, but you did not use the appropriate word.
Miniature missile could have been better.
word "nano" has its limitation which far exceed what Indian scientists have in mind...
You may not be able to defend your vocabulary for long, on this!

.
LOL you are right.
Now @HariPrasad cannot say that a missile with NanoBrain -- it will imply a tiny brain / no brain.
This is a good thinking and development! Kudos to our scientists/ engineers!!

Can you please go through the link I posted later on with same post. It has a reference of Nano missile from none other than Avinash Chandar.

. .
@HariPrasad ..don't get angry you know our journos .. .. we definitely cannot call nano brain/ Miniature brain it sounds funny

There is no question of getting angry. I just quoted what mr Avinash chander has said. Word Nano has different meaning in mathematical and business parlance.

A more relevant area of research before a GPS guided "nano" missile would be a MMW seeker for the Nag missile.

It's already developed, testing is on I think. Should be in service in some time.

Milli-Metric Wave (MMW) seeker flight-tested onboard Nag ATGM

MMW seeker is also developed for HELINA (air-launched Nag), see the link below for full list of new seekers developed/
in-development by DRDO & other labs...a good number of them seem to be up for private companies to produce :

Yup it developed, but didnt provided the result as expected. Even it failed in one test.

Not sure of results of all tests (I'm not even sure how many tests were actually conducted with the MMW seeker
and how many with the IIR one), but the MMW has been in the works for years. It should be reaching a conclusion
this year or next.

A conclusion could also mean an end of the program after years of not being able to meet requirements. A.k.A failure.
A better hope would be success.

That is why it is called R & D.

SO far as any missile technology is concern for India, You can term only trishul missile as failure. Rest all reached to their intended level of technological sophistication and become weapon for Indian armed forces. .

MMW seeker is already tested on helina numbers of time with success.

DRDO is not usually the type to give up anything that easily.:partay:

BTW, the fact that they are developing a sister version of the MMW seeker (for Helina) shows that the R&D has
shown results.

.
I can certainly see why the word nano has so much relevance.
Still, a smaller system does not have to have nano in its marketing ploy.

I think Nag development is finished since India is working with US to co-develop the next gen anti-tank missile along the lines of Brahmos and Maitri.

Mini version (shoulder fire) of NAG is under development at DRDO. America has offered co development of next generation Javelin missile.

No it is an old news. In subsequent summer, the missile was successfully tested.

"It is a matter of immense pleasure and satisfaction to know that the airframe assemblies F3 section with CPHS, wing and fin manufactured by Godrej performed successfully during the test, thus qualifying them for the next stage of integration on combat missiles along with nose cap and nose cap motors which were qualified earlier," Jamshyd N. Godrej, Chairman & MD of Godrej & Boyce, said in reply to a communiqué with Dr. A S Pillai, CEO & MD of BrahMos Aerospace.

"It was also heartening to learn that the missile was launched from a Mobile Autonomous Launcher, also supplied by Godrej," he further added
