HDI of national capital region is 0.750(statistics as of 2007-'08).Only second to Kerala.No idea about Mumbai.

You are comparing a city to a state.Delhi NCR is about 40 times bigger than Islamabad in terms of land area and 20 times bigger in terms of population.Islamabad and karachi should be compared to New Delhi.

no need to get so much insecure cz in 2012 its even higher than 2005 cz the over all HDI of Pakistan has also increased from 2005......

0.750 is the HDI of Union territory of Delhi which don't include other regions of NCR in neighbouring States like Gurgaon, Noida or Faridabad. If Nodia or Gurgaon is included Delhi HDI will jump further.

Not in case of Pakistan. Pakistan have shown signal of moving backward in many areas.

You are the one who asked for HDI of Delhi and Mumbai and you are the one who stated HDI of Pakistani cities even though none of us asked for it.If that is not comparison then that what is??
If you feel too insecure to compare Indian cities to Pakistan ones then don't do it.Don't try to hide the fact that you are trying to compare Indian,Chinese and Pakistani cities.

Like Shanghai where major properties were purchased by big infrastructure companies, demolished and rebuilt fabulously, it cannot be done in Mumbai and Delhi because rates of properties here is sky-rocket high, it would be mistake by any infrastructural company to buy and rebuilt it then sell it on profit.

I would be better to develop other less developed cities like Navi Mumbai, Greater Noida or Lucknow etc

It would take another a couple of decades to transform Lucknow into New Delhi , so why would you wanna start from the beginning ??
Build Delhi and Mumbai just like Beijing and Shanghai , fortunately Mumbaikars are realising this .
Shanghai did not stood in 2 or 3 years . Have patience we are on the right track

Navi mumbai is the best city of india.... (still in the making) and i heard one more mumbai construction will start and it will be in panvel area.... Navi mumbai (new mumbai) looks so much beautiful specially the infrastructure so much high level compared to other cities of india.... Most buildings are glass made and the cement buildings design so much beautiful.... Railway stations looked world class.... However i like bungalows of juhi nagar.... Bellapur hill looks world class (reminds me of beverly hill).... However navi mumbai mostly empty as its in the making.... The 3rd new mumbai will be totaly skyline which i dont like it.... i dont want pollution.... i heard in china people dont see sun often due to pollution.... Am afraid 3rd new mumbai will turn into that.... Here is most beautiful navi mumbai. Must download....
