Debunking Indian Claims of “Surgical Strike” in Pakistan.

Its still a mystery whether India conducted the Surgical strike or not, the medias from both side talking the opposite. I am really confused now. Although Media from both sides cant be wrong, its clear now that one side is lying, it seems like a media war.

Just a day after the Indian government claimed that its army carried out “surgical strikes” inside Pakistan with the support of military choppers, a senior Indian minister retracted the claim saying “these did not involve any aerial operations.”

“There were no aerial strikes,” Indian Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, himself an ex-Indian Army man, told The Hindu during an interview.

Rathore said the Indian Army crossed the Line of Control (LoC) “on the ground” for carrying out what he termed were “pre-emptive strikes”. “That is not like crossing the international border.”

On Thursday, soon after the Indian military claimed that it had carried out “surgical strikes” against perceived “terrorist launch pads” on the Pakistani side of the LoC in disputed Kashmir region, the Pakistani Army ripped to shreds the Indian farcical claim as an “illusion being deliberately generated by the Indians to create false effects”.

Rathore’s remarks appeared to endorse the version of the army’s media wing, ISPR, which insisted: “there has been no surgical strike by India, instead there had been cross-border fire initiated and conducted by India.”

While Indian media grossly exaggerated New Delhi’s claim the Pakistani media, however, questioned its authenticity.

The Indian Express had called it a “defining moment” but said the government must now be vigilant to ensure that the “clamour for more” did not fuel an escalation in hostilities.

The Hindustan Times welcomed the strikes in an editorial headlined “Befitting response”, and said India would “take satisfaction from the revenge, served cold”.

The Indian army provided little insight as to how the entire operation was conducted. The media there, however, said the operation was a combination of heliborne and ground forces. Special forces were para-dropped for the operation, it added. It said alleged terror launch pads targeted were in the range of 2- 3 kilometres from the LoC.

What is the logic dropping troops inside your own border than they crossed border by foot and you could have dropped them by 4x4 inside ur border

Where is credible proof credible not Indian movie shooting scene

DGMO forget mines in the loc 150 soldiers came and fired 1000 bullets no casualties and top of it our airdefence was sleeping

Even us lost its helo in Pak at night with state of the art technology but india posses alien technology we can't see it what a rubbish story

First and foremost I am sick of the word "Bollywood". No-one watches it south of the Vindhyas and you guys talking about is like a old tape recorder.

Second, throw your logic out of this. Did the DGMO mention Helis crossed the de-facto border? No. Check the you tube speech. In whatever place we drop them inside our land is our wish. We will use our helis according to our wish and not to what u think.

Third, there is a reason intelligence agencies are for. Region is a factor infiltration is still taking place. There are blind spots within both the borders. Some regions cannot be fenced or mined. Pakistani intelligence will know the blind spots in Indian side and same for India as well. Its not a big secret. How do u hear stories then Kashmiri militants cross over to train?

At the end of the day, the result of all of this regardless of whodunnit and whenappened is that the rising angst within Indian society both civil & military(there were voices within the chain of command arguing against those tactics , this I have from a very close ex-IA source) against the excesses of the current government in handling what was nothing more than a basic human rights agitation in Kashmir that mucked into another uprising; has been forgotten for now.

So next time if Joe Shearer objects to the treatment of what constitutionally and in the spirit of Nehruvian India are essentially Indian citizens; he will be lynched in public and/or told that dear leader with the chest to undo a silverback gorilla took the right actions and it was all Pakistan anyway.

Or like a close friend of mine whom I spent 2 years during my MBA with, living with him, partying with him, sharing with.. and he was on an Indian passport, an Indian citizen; have not heard from him since this thing started and I dont know if he was shot with pellets or just murdered or is hopefully alive.
