Debunking Indian Claims of “Surgical Strike” in Pakistan.

Funnily, I was planning to go back and read through it carefully.

What do you make of the reconstructions which vary from the media versions: by hellfire, by Oscar (the one sandwiched by hellfire's two posts), by Taha Samad and mine? They seem to me to be pointing in roughly the same direction.
The most logical to me is the point #3. That such infiltration happen from both sides only this time it was made official to show India responded. I am sceptical on the numbers killed. @TaimiKhan post#46 seems the most probable scenario. Though you can still debate on the numbers.
All in all i think India has really up the ant. Such infiltration were kept secret from both sides for a reason knowing how jingoistic people of this region are, such attempts can lead to war but now that they are in the open and one country is already admitting that they have hit another so possible deniability is out of question, it comes now to how Pakistan responds to calm the nerves here. Saying we are showing restraint will not be enough.

.
Where is the source that 38 terrorists were killed on the Pakistani side of the LOC?
The retaliation you are planning to do!!!!!!!:pissed:
targeting cities for lives of just 2 soldiers??
nobody is that fool to understand :hitwall:
and also aapke strike to asli hain naa???toh daliye photo twitter pe hum dekh lete hai....

Very well put. I agree. Now I must read Seema Mustafa and Taimi Khan. Thank you for the observations. They make a lot of sense.

Pakistan has said it will retaliate IF India conducts "surgical strikes", which it has not.

But if it does, it will retaliate.

Right now, it just responded India's cross border firing with cross border firing.

In the quest for propaganda, Indian media has gone to such hilarious lengths that it is no more funny but absolutely pathetic. Even kids in middle school can do a better job.

Yes this is age of information wars, but hey, if you want to copycat the Western media, then at least do it properly. This bollywood style idiotic copying is so silly that India is making a laughing stock of herself. Take an example of how Indian media's Goswamis (or whatever his name) go about it:

A train is hit by terrorist attack, reporting by Indian media:

1) First day headlines: "'Pakistani terrorists' have blown up a train which causes dozens of innocent lives"
2) Second day headlines: "How terrorists managed to come to India crossing by foot from Indian ocean side"
3) Third day headlines: "Pakistani govt knew, how Hafiz Saeed personally gave his blessings to the terrorists and how he personally cooked parathas for them
4) A week after: "UN to declare Pakistan a terrorist state because of his role in terrorist attack on train"
5) 3 weeks after (reality starts setting in): "US and Russia snub India and refuse to support her in UNSC"
6) 4 months later: "Some Indian people are arrested in connection with terrorist attack on the train"
7) 5-6 months later, (the trials for Hindu fanatics start): SILENCE in the Indian media

So something similar on the lines is being done by these "SirGKal" strikes, I think it is high time that Indian slap their media and ask it to stop feeding them fantasies.

But on the other hand, sadly Indians themselves live in a parallel universe, and love these fantasies. That is why media invents all this shyt.

What a paradox!

How can some saner people start a campaign to tell Indians that living in parallel universe and constant day-dreaming is not always healthy?

What can we do?

. .
Can someone explain to me how someone "mistakenly" crosses a heavily marked area? I am rather curious.

. .
We must remember that “Propaganda” is an essential tool of the “PsyOps”.

US Army defines it as “Psychological operations are planned operations to convey selected information and indicators to foreign audiences to influence their emotions, motives, objective reasoning and ultimately the behaviour of the governments, organizations, groups and individuals”

India not being the not US; the nation will not forgive Raheel Sharif if Indians carried out a surgical strike and Pakistan did not respond in kind. At the same time after such strong rhetoric; Modi gov’t had to do something. It is also hard to imagine that India totally fabricated the event.

On pure SPECULATION; I would guess that truth is somewhere in between. In order to placate Indian media & the public opinion, it is probable that a squad of Indian soldiers (say about 20 to 30) penetrated a couple of kilometres across LOC under the cover of darkness and retreated after a brief firefight. Something that satisfies Indian public opinion but not significant enough to invite a major retaliation.

It would be a very long time before we know what actually happened.
