What's new

Deadliest month for the security forces in Jammu & Kashmir

Not really, these are entirely normal figures.
Maybe for some people these figures aren't extraordinary, after all, when one desperately imagines oneself to be equal to 10 of one's opponent, reality seems unbelievable when it finally appears.
If it were normal figures then i wonder what is the purpose of this thread and all the chest thumping by the usual weekend warriors or perhaps some bewildered race needs something to cheer about.
As for the equation, lately it seems that we are against flying forces and we may have to fight future wars by climbing the trees.
See, unlike PA our army doesn't need to curb the perception of the populace, as they have no role in the working of the government, no say in foreign policy and the like, see coz our military is responsible to the Indian people and not to itself.
Our army chiefs aren't billionaires or own billions in businesses to the degree PA does.
Which is why we don't go through coups like kababs.
And which is why our army has no reason to lie.

You seem to be suffering from confirmation bias, even though all the basis for all your opinions about us comes from the information you got from us, but somehow you will only believe the ones that's convenient for you on a particular day.
Well sunshine, you need to hold your Horses and catch up on the news. Our army chief has seldom commented on the saffron brigades or cow vigilantes that have systematically taken control of the so called secular India, however your army chief seems keen to adopt other roles than what he was selected for,
And why would a nation's security forces need to make any effort when they can send a billion souls into a frenzy by capturing an odd Pigeon or a Camel and create fireworks by blowing up some fishing boat or blowing a balloon to kingdom come.
Oh as for your snow white clean armed forces, one just needs to scrape the surface and i don't mean some frustrated Indian soldier exposing seniors siphoning off the rations.

Normal figures for us is disproportionate terrorist deaths and less security forces casualties.
What's irking you lot if we are posting a thread to make the above fact known? Maybe that says a lot about pdf pakistanis than it says about us.

With or without respect to the equation, regardless of where you lot end up fighting, the result will, as it always has been, be disappointing for you.

Oh bully for you, your army chief doesn't make comments enough, that surely makes him a pacifist of the highest degree.
Here, have a ladoo.

Clearly, our chief proactively speaking up about the COIN ops he's participating in is far more of a crime than a coup happy pakistani army that fosters millionaire, billionaire army officers and runs a stratocracy under the guise of a democracy.

Military chiefs of many countries regularly speak up about the wars they are fighting in, and use far harsher language against their foes. It is completely normal thing that happens all over the world. Do google it.
But when, the Indian army chief is saying something about pakistan and kashmir, oh we can't take it, that must clearly be the crime of the century.

And why would a nation's security forces need to make any effort when they can send a billion souls into a frenzy by capturing an odd Pigeon or a Camel and create fireworks by blowing up some fishing boat or blowing a balloon to kingdom come.

Maybe you lot think or desperately hope that India functions like pakistan but us, the civilians, getting pissed off at pakistan has no bearing on how our military acts towards pakistan.

See our army chiefs don't have to please the public like yours do, so what IA says is more often than not more factual than pakistanis would like to admit.

Oh as for your snow white clean armed forces, one just needs to scrape the surface and i don't mean some frustrated Indian soldier exposing seniors siphoning off the rations.

You can keep couting our vices but in the end yours will always edge past us.
IA is the 2nd largest army in the world, some problems are bound to occur. At least we can talk about it and know the issues that ail us.
Don't even think to compare our miniscule scandals to the billions worth of businesses owned by pak military, or their regular habit of demolishing pak's own democracy to initiate coups.
See coz, we learn about your scandals when a 3rd party leaks information, which only goes to prove how much of a monopoly pak military has on the information in pakistan, and how much pakistanis don't know about their own country.

Pakistanis seem to have not learned their lesson. I believe it was in Yahya Khan's time that some popular adage went like, "no news is good news", or something along those lines, and then BAM, Bangladesh happens.

Where are your comprehensive audits like our CAG does? When does the pak media chastise PA or looks into the military's businesses like ours or the media of any other democratic country does? Who really keeps a check on PA?
OH that's right, PA checks PA.

You Indians can please yourself with numbers, but this isn't a numbers game, it's about end result. In modern guerrilla warfare the combatants are seen as disposable, as long as they achieve a military or political purpose.

If you look at numbers alone, a lot more Taliban have been killed than NATO or ANA. Yet we all know who is about to be crowned King in Afghanistan.

You killed 233, this time next year there will be 433 in their place. The support of the public is stronger, the issue is being raised on international platforms. A few years ago Kashmir was a dead issue, even in Pakistani media - today news sites across the world carry stories on Kashmir. Our leadership talks about it, you're leadership is forced to talk about it.

The violence and the media scrutiny will only escalate.

International platforms? US is under Trump, Most of Europe is heavily leaning towards far right(anti immigration, anti muslim), Russia isn't really known for supporting freedom struggles(Syria), relations between GCC and India have never been better(they even extradited a British citizen to India despite Britain's protests), China was always anti India, so nothing changed there. Apart from boring, mundane, generic statements like "We hope Kashmir issue will be settled peacefully between india and pakistan blah blah blah", no country has said anything on Kashmir and seeing how far right is slowly taking over everywhere, i see even less talks about Kashmir on international forums in the future. They may not say it publicly, but most of Europe is glad that Assad stayed in power, simply because he keeps things under control and prevents islamic lunatics like ISIS from taking over. There is less support for terrorism, militancy, freedom struggles and all this hokum today than has ever been in world history. Like even Brazil has become far right, who could have ever thought

From time to time, you do get some small small boring statements of support from small nations like Iran, Turkey etc, which makes you guys jump in joy like a poodle, but nothing concrete really. Sure duh, your people are talking about it, they need some entertainment after day long news about falling economy, debt, rising rupee etc. Kashmir has unfailingly provided that entertainment for the past 60 years, but the only end result has been more dams on the Indus river.
