What's new

Cover up of 1971, lost half century!!

THIS is not nonsense but reality if you agree or not but RIGHT power should be handed over to majority party as per costitution.soldiers are recruited to fight for the defense of their homeland and our soldiers faught in E.PAKISTAN as per their duties with their blood and bones.
Stop this nonsense of thousand miles away

Agr g**nd me itna dam nahi tha to panga kyun liya tha **** army ne.
Why they started operation on own people and when tide turned let's make excuse of 1000 miles.

Should have transfered the government to party winning the election

We aren't Iranian but we are Iranic. Baloch, Pakhtuns, Wakhis etc. are Iranic peoples.
Bhai, so what?
Baluchis are slave to sardars under control of military Inc, active ones are forced in insurgency, rest are under poverty.
Pakhtuns, let's see they can defend and protect IK.

Pointing out a fact. We might not be Turkic, but we are partially Iranic.

You shouldn't start a war you can't win.

Militaries have been creating deceptions and it's common worldwide.

One Chinese male spy pretended to be a female for twenty years and spied in France:

So it shouldn't be a surprise if Pakistani military establishment has been fooling Pakistanis for 70 plus years.

But truth never dies. Sooner or later it comes to fore.

Pointing out a fact. We might not be Turkic, but we are partially Iranic.
🙏
Not talking about race here ...
It was more allegorical that Iranians gave thousands of life in one day to defeat Shah Iran savak.
Turkick defeated coup from military against erdoan.

Pakistan is not one nation. People are sensitive of about what they are but quick to go to slave shell.

I know it's not about race. I am just trying to correct your confusion regarding terminology. Turkic and Turks are not ambiguous.

Turks of Turkey are one of many Turkic peoples. Likewise Iranian and Iranic are not ambiguous. Iranian means any citizen or native of Iran.

Iranic on the other hand refers to an ethno-linguistic family like Turkic.

Also no country is one nation. Almost none. Even the Arab nation state of Qatar has tribal distinctions.

So why did Bhutto not agree with Mujib?
Because Bhutto had backing of powerful Junta. Why would anyone with such a solid backing should compromise? Look at TLP these days and MQM back in 1980's with such backing. Bhutto did get his reward after December 16, 1971 for being a loyal pet.
Has there been any instance in 75 years history of Pakistan when a party in power lost the election and the Prime Minister handed over the power peacefully to the next prime minister with a smile and a handshake? If not, picking on Bhutto may be somewhat unfair. He might not have been a man strong enough to establish a precedent that is simply absent in the political culture of Pakistan.

Can such Photo-op ever happen?

Few points:

1. Bhutto was neither Prime Minister nor president till December 1971.

2. After threat of Mujib was neutralized on December 16, 1971, Bhutto was made Civilian Martial Law Administrator as a reward by Junta on 20th December .

3. August 2018 can be an example when power was transferred peacefully. You can also say that power was transferred peacefully in April 2022 however crackdown on civilian population started some time in May 2022. Ironically, will of military Junta was involved in both of these instances :pleasantry: .

1. Why blame Bhutto for not transferring power to Mujib, when he did not have power? The blame should be at the feet of military junta.
2. August 2018 seems to be the only peaceful transfer albeit with a heavy dose of puppetry by the Junta. But Sharif has to be admired for being the only person in Pakistan's history to agree to hand over power. Considering it happened only once in 75-year history, that is no mean achievement.

In general elections held in 1970, Bhutto's party won 86 seats and Mujib's party won 167 seats. So when Assembly's session would have been called, Mujib would become Prime Minister. To prevent this, Bhutto started a campaign of delaying the assembly sessions for many months and asked politicians of West Pakistan not to attend assembly session in Dhaka, with blessings of Junta.

He famously threatened to break the legs of West Pakistani politicians who dared to go National Assembly session on Dhaka. Bhutto and Yahya tried to peruse Mujib to give up his dreams of being a Prim Minister but when Mujib could not be convinced, Yahya launched 'Operation SearchLight' in March 1971 to break the political strength of Mujib.

So even though Bhutto lost elections of 1970, he aided Junta to delay holding the session of National Assembly till threat of Mujib was neutralized on December 16, 1971. And he was made Civilian Martial Law Administrator as a reward on 20th December

There was no social media back then and Junta totally controlled print and electronic news media. So Army and supporters of Bhutto's party created a narrative that East Pakistanis were traitors who decided to side with India. You can see this line of thinking below as what are they currently teaching in Pakistani version of West Point:

Bangladesh was good riddance.

Thank you. That is the type of insider information not readily available in history books. Bhutto's and junta's tactics have a strong similarity to the Jim Crow laws of the South in U.S. after the Civil War and 14th Amendment. Probably it was latent racism at work.

Don't gas light and don't derail.
Military Inc divided Pakistan, 93000 made pow, hundreds of thousands massacred in East Pakistan, just for what?
That the heir of Lord Clive army rule over pakistan and serve new lord clives.
93000 were mostly families and civilians.. .among soldiers more than half were local pro Pakistan bengalies .

It got divided because both wings didn't agree on a constitution and state language. Everything else is secondary.
The Bengal elites had already rejected the confederation model offered by ayub in 1962.
some lessons are learnt hard way ..
Today bengali FM says relationship between India and husband is like husband and wife and also says Delhi should help hasina retain power..

A country surrounded from an enemy from three sides is a qabil e reham counrry..but u folks.. there a better off country since they got "independence" from kakul...
Fckin lie..
Count the number of bengali head of States and governors between 48 and 71..
