It’s true that Indians have been marrying within their cast for a long time and that will eventually have the same result as cousin marriages in the long term and there are plenty of other communities that suffer the same thing for examples Ashkenazi Jews who are a relatively small community and tend to marry within. Which has led to inbreeding. (only brought them up because they are a well studied group on this subject)

logically speaking...

children by own parents == brothers and sisters.
children by parent coming in by remarriage == half brothers and half sisters.
anybody else == not brother and sister... no rakhi brother and no cousin sister ( unless emotionally but not socially enforced ).

but one must wonder about how supposedly cherished features like blue eyes or blond hair appeared among a village sized population... or further back, how a village sized population came to exist.

the best way to dispel these bogus researches is to look at the ancestry/succesion of cats.
