Count Down begins for Arrival of the 100th JF17 Thunder

The JF17 Approaches the 100 Fighter Jet Mark , after a modest start to it's history
The PAF inducted its first JF-17 squadron in February 2010

Seven Years have passed and now the JF17 Thunder is safely safe guarding Pakistani Skies from Evil Doers.

Having not only impressed with it's performance in Pakistan , the JF17 Program hit a major mile stone by securing contracts with International Parterns world wide Client in Asia East , Africa (Nigeria) and Central Europe (Azerbijan). The success of JF17 Program mean the Jets are viewed as capable platform which offers tones of flexibility and meaningful defence of skies over Sovreign nations of all size.

New Mile stones were hit in 2017 with Arrival of Duel Seating JF17 Thunder which ensured a high degree of capablity to train and also carry out more advance missions

The Thunders have proven to be the Shinning example of forward thinking by planners and various analyst how to safe guard Pakistan's Airspace , from Enemies and Intruders. Due to the Thinking and planning done 20 years ago today we bear the fruits of that by being in advance stages of yet another mile stone in JF17 successful story

The Thunder has now impressed every one on global scale , and how a Nation like Pakistan can manufacture a product of such high quality with Chinese Collaboration. Able to meet the world standard in Fighter Jet manufacturing and Air defence

The Thunder also recieved a wonderful enhancement with the "Turkish Sniper Pods" giving the Thunders valueable vision and precision from skies even able to spot a cat or dog walking in the streets of a crowded place

Limitation on the JF17 THUNDER are only in our imagination, and the Thunder will continue to evolve based on the imagination of our Engineers and planners.

Not to forget the Block 3 Thunder will be Used by Ellite Academy armed with High Visualization and Enhanced , visual display and awareness Helmets. The Introduction of such Technology Gambits will ensure our Pilots are able to Maintain a high Kill Ratio

The 100th Craft will be special , as it means we have met some serious production goals in term of Local Production , and also suppling customers with a Capable national defence product

Compared to the Al Khalid Tank production which itself is going thru a modernization phase , the Thunder production is certainly setting new bench marks for future Engineering Generations

None of it would be possible if it was not for the high end planners and also the ground level engineering performing the tedious tasks of quality check and making sure all aspects of engineering are in top order

First the Successful Super Mushaq production and then K-8 and then Al Khalid's success story and now JF-17 Thunder puts us on the map

Out of interest

1-How many JF 17s do we have right NOW

2- When exactly will we reach 100 air craft

3- Have all of our JF 17 inventory been upgraded to block 2 standard?

4- Its been mentioned that JF17 block 3 will be ready to role out in 2020
Does that mean we will fill the time with export orders and upgrading to block 2 all our older airframes

5- article mentions Azerbaijan as a customer, has that been confirmed now and how many?



Its been mentioned before that we will have 5 blocks of JF17s so I reckon we will have a minimum of 250-300 planes by the end and even then we might keep building to cover basic needs

At current rate PAC is producing more than 25 jets/year. And jf-17 block 3 is estimated introduction will be in early-mid of 2019.
By than PAF will have above 150 jf-17 including few jf-17b trainer.
On the other hand our neighbours still operate historical mig-21,mig-27 and mirage 200 making a combine total of above 400 jets which have to me replace by 2019.And tejas is rolling out at 6 jet/year.
So india will have a few dozens of su-30. Rafale order is not enough for india.
But Pakistan will soon begin testing 4.5 gen jf-17 block 3.Which will be game changer for PAF.
Its will give PAF huge boost.
Pakistan has began research on 5 gen fighter.Hopefully research is going in right direction.

ofcourse. JF-17 will having 3-axis fly by wire system.
Along with better situational awareness and precision strike capability.
And it will be equipped with mid-long range BVR missile thanks to new AESA radar.Its will be called 4.5 gen for nothing
