Congratulations Pakistan on gaining CERN membership

It really is about priorities. If you look carefully, USA and China are not members either. We have our own programs which we are hoping to take further. If India really did want to become an associate member, I don't see why anyone should stop us. Especially since, we already have the talent pool and capability.

While Pakistan is piggybacking on the CERN. India is already in the process of constructing its OWN Hadron Collider. :P

India is set for the next big act in physics after the CERN experiment

can you post a link for the full project

But I have full faith that one day you will be back. Your civilian government is still in its infancy stage, and I firmly believe that after a few more cycles of a democratic elected government being in place, you will be back to the old glory days.
I am not so sure because I'm wondering if Pakistan has "a few more cycles of a democratic elected government." I remember the attitudes of Bhutto and Zia, "wait and see what we do with Pakistan!" - i.e., they considered Pakistan a vehicle to fulfill their personal agendas, rather than seeing to the welfare of its people. The corruption of so much of the bureaucracy, polity, and people (ref: Anatoly Lieben's book, Pakistan, a Hard Country) seems to confirm this. After sixty years the politicians still can't demonstrate they can think creatively or compromise, as seen in their response to the terror in Peshawar, pushing the burden onto military courts. Seems it's only a small step from here to doing a Mirza and declaring martial law entirely.

Goddammit... I remember a very interesting line from JUMP STREET movie by the captain.. "why every time you speak I want to throw the fk up" why do you bring butt hurt for what Pakistan has achieved and are always willing to bring in your jingo programs to troll us? :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall: @Horus sir Plz take this kid... :pissed:

I just read across the wires that Pakistan is now a full member of CERN. While it seems that all we read about Pakistan is negative. Which is contrary to the country I visited in an official capacity several times. I have to say - To have one the best experiences in mingling with warm, welcoming people, offering the best hospitality extended to foreign guests, please visit Pakistan.

:pakistan:

We should celebrate Pakistan's entry into CERN as a full member. One that will have positive implications to their economy .

CERN Nuclear Physics Lab Admits Pakistan - ABC News

Good to hear from someone who actually was in Pakistan and visited and lived in Pakistan , if only there was more such visits by Normal Citizens there would be far more understanding between two countries

I agree- but you have to play your part too in letting others feel welcomed i.e. You have to calm down when you post here.

If I were to judge your country on the basis of your contributions here, it would scare the Sh__ out of me.

Congrats! A small step in the right direction  This will hopefully inspire our scientific sector.

good development. for all fields its time to release the potential of a science-research-loving nation.
