The definition of progressive is not clear here . I don't consider amending the constitution by imposing an emergency , a process which otherwise requires a special majority support of the parliament as progressive . What I wan't doesn't matter . Besides I am not a fan of socialism , I consider it unnatural and certainly not progressive .

The issue here is the publication of a book that seeks to falsely blame the victims for the crimes committed by perpetrators. The "liberals" used democratic tools of petition and persuasion to convince the publisher to withdraw publication of the book.

Do you suggest that because BJP won the majority of the seats in a general election, that other legal means of democratic expression should not be utilized?

I don't think so! Supreme Court is always an independent institution.
This is just desperation that you see everyone cowed down to ruling party.

How many Hindu-Muslims riots happened in Yogi govt? I didn't find much.
if he had any intention to kill minority, then riots are easy option. Lynching is a different issue, it is done by individual sect, not by govt order, many factors has involved in it, like smuggling, stealing, faith....!

I am not against any legal steps taken against facism. However, you need to understand that sane people are very few. At least we across the border, and many in other countries think so. We judge you through your media. It depicts the true picture of your society.

And to be honest, you can do nothing. I remember a recent case in which killers were acquitted by your courts despite clear footage of the lynching available, and no one except very few raised their voice.

A mosque has been given to the non-Muslims despite court's fully knowing that there is no evidence to support the Hindu claims. The people you call liberals celebrated the move. Even congress supported building of the mandir.

Either your liberals are very few, or they aren't liberals at all. I am sure that going against this book has other motives. People who didn't even know about this book will now buy and read it. This is how they play with you guys and how they have been playing with you for over 70 years.

The people who call themselves liberal even on this forum are supporters of Hindutva and Hindu lynching mobs. They want to present a good picture of your society, however, they fail to convince people because nowadays the news of supression are pouring like raindrops.

Some context should be provided here. The book was simply a print publication of a collection of fictional articles that existed on the SaffronNazi websites OpIndia and the RSS rag Organiser. It is nothing new. However, what is does, is provide the mainstreaming of Goebbelsian propaganda in India.

Your comments on the state of the liberals in India is well deserved. There were several people who protested the publication of this book. Not all of them fall under the criteria you have covered.
