On confirmed intelligence about planning of a terrorist activity , Security Forces conducted an IBO on terrorist Hideout near Tank, DI Khan. As soon as troops cordoned the area, terrorists opened fire. During operation two terrorists (high value targets) killed. In intense exchange of fire Colonel Mujeeb Ur Rehman embraced shahadat. During sanitization operation, a large cache of arms & ammunition recovered from terrorist hideout . Col Mujeeb ur Rehman Shaheed hailed from Bunji, District Astore. He is survived by a widow, three sons and a daughter.

Whenever I see troops going down during such ops against terrorists ... I always wonder if PA has really established or change SOP of conducting such ops in urban areas?Has new gear acquired? Are there ways to reduce fatalities of troops in such ops?

Salute to the martyr . May Allah raise his ranks and give sabr to the grieving family . But I think such high profile officers should be kept safe , becoz even though we killed Two high profile terrorists , A col. Being martyred is a collateral damage on our part .
