Coca Cola plans $200m investment in Pakistan

I am just speechless. Let me go open another can of Whoop Cola and sip it slowly. :D

Drinking soda is a still a voluntary activity.
No, according the country that gave birth to the term 'international basket case' and that is barely above water apparently drinking soda or not drinkingh soda is a jihad. And these Bangla muppets who had the ignominy of laying themselves flat when the English arrived in 1750s and then not making a squeak for the next 200 years.

Even after 3 million got starved by Britain in 1943.

We all know the health risks of drinking too much coke but people are going to drink coke or other soft drinks come what may. Given this reality it is better to have the investment in production at home rather than have the product imported which is exactly what would happen if these plants were not in Pakistan. It's good thing and also sends off positive signal to other investors that if Coca Cola can invest this amount maybe it's a good place for others to invest as well.

Just think of what it will do to local sugarcane production, as an example.

Good news, Investments should be welcomed, instead of whining against coke that has a foothold throughout the world,
why dont we change our drinking habbits instead, spread awareness and encourage the use of juices,

btw even juices available in tetra pack arent 100 percent natural,

so dont like coke? dont drink it,
make some juice for yourself and La Familia

This black cola stuff needs to stop in Pakistan. Even diabetic families are sipping on this!

.
that is exactly what i was about so say since such soda carbonated based sugary drinks are cheaper than water in the US, I am certain this is what will happen in Pakistan.

Coca Cola is a conglomerate. It doesn't just produce drinks, they have way more products than you think

My goodness! This @Kaptaan guy amazes me. What temerity! Always types without checking the facts and continues to do so even after it is pointed out to him. Is this the fourth time I am telling that he overlooks/ignores facts before posting?

I am not Bengali and I don't know history. But I have a feeling that the Bengal province produced the most number of active revolutionaries in the whole world. Punjab can rival that numbers but Bengal’s case is more significant because Bengalis did it in a way which was better planned, more scientific and more effective and actually threatened the British rule.

Interesting! The Pakistani internet crowd acting all righteous and trying to give the impression of (some kind of) national anti-soda consumption drive in the country but ground realities are utterly different on the other hand.

Here is the reality: beverage consumption is common in the entire country and nothing will stop it. Those who abstain are exceptions and masses don't care about their views.

Now, coming to the main point: the investment is welcome because it will create jobs and stimulate economy. We need to cultivate a culture of foreign investment in our country, and by that, not only Chinese.

As far as health factor is concerned, here is an advice:

Excess of everything is bad.
