When they talk about offensive weapons they are lying big time , the only restrictions are for guidance systems for dumb bomb, the UK is willing to supply the Saudis with that and much more..
Standard PDF response? If its against your perception "its a lie". Do you have Mr. Obama's, a Senator / Congressman or the Sec. of State's, or someone from the Pentagon's email or a publication to show as a proof that its a lie, or someone from the KSA's foreign ministry or a credible source like the BBC or the CNN? Outside of that, all else is a lie fabricated by people who don't have the expertise, or real knowledge, but like to comment on stuff like they are the chief defense analyst for something like Brookings.
As for Oil, it is a very complicated matter, OPEC almost killed the Oil Shale production in the US and took back their market share up to 42% in the last 2 years after losing 40% before 2 years.. with Trump there might be an all out economic war led by the US, not only against OPEC, but China and Russia too,
You have no idea about what you are typing above do you? This has nothing to do with the US or the Shale Oil industry
. The issue is Russia, Iran, KSA, Venezuela and other OPEC members. If you don't understand an issue, or know its complexities involved, don't just throw everything on the US. Learn the issue first. Here are a few links for you, so you may come up to speed on this Oil issue. This is unbelievable! You are speaking with so much authority without having any clue about these issues. Only on PDF you find these internet analysts.
The following links talk about a couple of recent land mark OPEC deals. None of these developments have anything to do with the US. We have one of the largest Oil reserves we never cared to use, which we are using now (Shale is our backup after like 200 years of Crude Oil extraction from the American soil
). These OPEC deals mean lots of more loss for KSA but overall beneficial for the rest of OPEC. Otherwise, these people would start to go bankrupt like KSA first, and then others:
The following is regarding November 30, 2016, where the OPEC countries finally decided to do another deal to freeze / cut oil production:

The following was about October, the beginning of a new era in OPEN, where Saudi domination had come to an end as Russia and Iran are now two of the biggest players offsetting KSA's influence:

The following was from October, 2016, the first time a deal was announced between the OPEC countries, the discussions had been going on for over a year and KSA and a few other Arab countries were losing their shirts selling their oil so cheap, resulting in the current recession in the Middle East:

Now, this is today's market (morning time in Asia already and the markets started a while ago):

he will first have to convince the Europeans who depend much on OPEC and Natural gas imports.
There is the 600 billion$ Saudi investments in the US but there is also a 3 trillion$ Chinese investments, plus all the GCC investments that will mount to a few trillion$ too, So it is a very farfetched assumption that he or other wealthy American business men can deal with that..
Read the above links. This has nothing to do with American. The Europeans are already enjoying cheaper oil and they don't need the Shale
. Also, Chinese investment isn't $ 3 trillion either
. We had a loan from them of $ 1 trillion and majority of that's been paid off.
At this time, the largest investor in the US is Japan. Also, KSA and Chinese don't have anything in common and they are not linked. So not sure why even relate KSA to China above? Stay focused on the KSA please. Adding others doesn't help the argument.
Next, the US economic system is over $ 90 trillion dollars. I think it can take a shock of $ 3-4 Trillion if we "REALLY" needed to do something. The US stock market system is around $ 30 Trillion!
On KSA's 600 billion, that shiit is a piece of joke. Warren Buffet (personal net worth $ 88 billion, his company has over $ 1.55 Trillion assets) or Bill Gates (over $ 100 billion personal net worth, with Microsoft's size around $ 500 billion add Google like $ 600 billion, we are already over a trillion).
So we can put $ 600 billion between these three companies back into buying whatever the Saudi's want to sell
, without even breaking a sweat! So Mr. Trump is right to tell KSA that "take your money" (but leave the taxes and fees behind when you do that). We made you richer and richer, so you have the right to take your money back. By the way, cashing out these investments might impose 20% tax like the rest of the globe pays to make so much more. So $ 600 billion - $ 120 billion in taxes, not adding fees, charges to sell, etc, means $ 450 billion cash sent to KSA? Remember, these guys have made profits already worth a couple of Trillions over the past 30 years of investing in America. Only American can give you such a massive return on your money
Like I said, it is pretty obvious you have no clue on any of the stuff that you wrote, but you "decided" to write this stuff as a PDF internet warrior so please spare me from more pain, its pretty bad reading your post already.
You are making your own news buddy, the US government has put restriction on guidance systems for dumb bombs, but you are adamant it is for all offensive weapons!? KSA just got some brand new F-15SA delivered, got contracts for very sophisticated ships and many other offensive as well as defensive weapons, Major US companies are working with the GCC on an integrated air defense system, including the most advanced US radars and missiles, F-15QA, F-18 advanced and so many more.. there are threads on this forum about everything I've just mentioned, why don't you go educate yourself before posting crap from your own mind?
1: By reading other explanations provided above, if you still think I am making this news up, I feel sorry for you. You should continue to impress other 16 year old youth members on here
2: F-15's SA were being delivered for a while now. The contract wasn't signed after the Yemen war, nor will the US going to put sanctions on KSA. Offensive weapons going forward means going forward, not what two nations agreed to sell or buy in the past and its already paid for. This is business, you got to respect your customer and the contract.
Also, like I said, KSA isn't an adversary to the US, so deals and stuff will still take place. But not the guided bombs, longer range ATG missiles, etc, used for offenses inside others lands (like Yemen). That's been made pretty clear. A ship and a jet aren't offensive, unless the associated guided and unguided munitions are attached to their hardpoints. KSA's ships aren't offensive weapons either due to their tiny Navy and associated dynamics.
