What's new

COAS Pakistan called on Chinese President Xi Jinping on a special invitation.

Every thing in this visit is related to Military. You want to create a misconception but you are failing. About CPEC it is an already signed project and will happen under all cost so it is pointless to discuss that. If any thing can stop it show me. Media can bark but it cannot bite, this is the biggest problem of media.

Now how is it not a military visit? Army chief of Pakistan meeting military leaders of PLA. We have much at stake other than CPEC. Many of China Pakistan interests are common. We have joint defence production in many area. India is our common enemy and both China Pakistan have to discuss joint and common approach towards it. USA is in Afghanistan. ISIS is in Afghanistan all that also needs to be discussed. So how is this not a military visit. We don't know what they discussed but we know who they met and those are army related people.

bwah hahahahaha . He sure fooled ya didnt he.

.
I very much doubt it. Chinese are fully aware of Pakistani politics and it would have been easily handled by their ambassador to Pakistan. There is something bigger going on and it must be big for the President of China to meet the generals, and it must be of a very strategic nature or serious cause for concern.
1. Most likely China have got whiff of a Hindjew prep for an attack on Kashmir
Why will be there an attack on Kashmir? You mean on Pakistan controlled Kashmir? I don't think so...Though Strike on Terrorist camps or on their leaders...is possible.
2. or it could be the impending collapse of the Afghan government and subsequent Taliban take over.
In this case, why COAS should be worried? He will be happy as this is what Pakistan wants.

3. Even worse China may be preparing to teach US a lesson in the Spratly Island conflict and is taking some of it's Allies into confidence.
What influence does Pakistan have In Indian Ocean region or South China Sea, for China to take Pakistan into confidence?.....this is absurd.

4.The fourth possibility is that there is an impending attack on Iran and Pak-China are preparing a joint strategy.
Again Pakistan is not someone China will consider to take on US w.r.t Iran. Besides, Pakistan will not like to disappoint Arab world by taking side for the sake of Iran...Neither it has the capacity to do so.

5.The fifth possibility is that there could be escalation in hostilities in Syria with direct USA-Russia conflict and China and Pak are preparing a joint strategy
Again what influence/stake does Pakistan have in Syrian conflict? For that matter even China? I don't think so.

6.The sixth possibility is China wants to ensure that their investment in CPEC is secure and are tightening up security.
What is new in this. Why COAS would be worried for it?

7.Lastly they want alarm bells to ring in New Delhi.
No, I don't think so...

My assumption:

1. Warning to COAS that if any questions are raised in Pakistan, for CPEC or what China is doing to it's Muslims etc....there will be a severe impact on relations/CPEC investment
2. China would have said that this time we won't save you if US-India-Russia etc bring anything on JeM leader in UN
3. No more further investment in CPEC till payment for previous loan instalment is received.
4. China has intelligence that US-Israel-India are planning some sabotage on Pak's nuclear assets/facilities
5. Take action on terrorists (LeT/JeM/HM) etc to please India so that India can be pulled into BRI initiatives...as otherwise, the business viability of this CPEC/BRI is not profitable. Also a happy India will tone down it's protest of CPEC passing through Kashmir/GB.

.

Doubt this very much because Israel's and India's nuke facilities are well known and targeted and won't survive colossal reprisal from Pakistan:-
"4. China has intelligence that US-Israel-India are planning some sabotage on Pak's nuclear assets/facilities"

Mate..these days sabotage does not necessarily mean bombing or destruction of a facility. It is done covertly without revealing the source (who did it). Ever heard of "Stuxnet"?...An APT attack on Iran's nuclear facility that prevented/rolled back Iran nuclear program....it is said it was CIA/Mossad venture...but no one knows so far.

?? APT :-
An advanced persistent threat (APT) is a set of stealthy and continuous computer hacking processes, often orchestrated by a person or persons targeting a specific entity. An APT usually targets either private organizations, states or both for business or political motives.

Any sensitive IT devices must be off the network so I don't think APT will work unless they are total imbeciles.

Read Stuxnet - it was an APT attack. Yes the IT devices in Iranian facility were offline...but they created a malware that was entered through printer, and which just targeted Siemens logic controllers that controlled nuclear centrifuge......

This is a very weird thing. The head of another state only meeting with the Chief of Army rather than the elected Prime Minister of the Civilian government. Even Chinese know who really runs the country's government

It’s co-ordinated strategic diplomacy. PM in Saudi Arab and COAS in China. The message is for the rest of the world; we have allies in powerful places.

.
Oh boy---that is some strong message from China---and specially with a new prime minister in Pakistan---the chinese premier is meeting and acknowledging the pakistani general---my my my---what are we upto now---.

Never seen your such post....What can be possibly going on?

Please give us hints/possible scenarios, sir?

.
This is not what a COAS should be doing. Meet only army to army.

Looks like CPEC security strategy so COAS is personal bodyguard for foreign workers.

Even 96 under sanctions is looking better than this your country has gone very very low.

Good post. Xi meeting the COAS is a HUGELY SIGNIFICANT EVENT. The Chinese president Xi is probably the most powerful man on Earth after the US president. And for him to meet the COAS like this indicates something BIG is going on. Just imagine the COAS meeting Putin on a short notice - this is no different.

There is something else - this has all started after the visit of Mike Pompeo. So people can say whatever, but something has happened during the visit of Pompeo which has gravely concerned the Chinese. Maybe this is true and maybe it is not.

Also, what the main stream media is not reporting deliberately the very dangerous situation in Syria. People should not underestimate what is going in Syria. Russia has sent almost 20 warships to confront US, France and Uk ships. It has now deployed a variety of weapons and missiles in Syria. There are now reports of Russian soldiers and fighter jet being stationed in Iran which will be moved to the Syrian forward lines. A war between US and Russia will be a nuclear war and all hell will break loose.

In other words there are too many things going on simultaneously, and all of them are dangerous.

Ro gao matoor This reflects the extremely close relations between the two allies, make no mistake about it Rogaomatoor when PM Imran Khan visits Beijing he will get an unprecedented reception reserved for only the closest of allies!!!!
The Chinese visit of IK will have both xi and head of PRC army for sure but I'm pretty sure Chinese chief of army would never invite PM of Pakistan for a visit without the highest civilian leadership present. It's just the doctrine of supremacy of civilian elected government of the citizens over the armed forces of their democratic nation. Your reaction wouldn't be same if US president was invited

Young Ragaomatoor PM Imran Khan cannot be in two places at once, who knows the magnitude of events that are on the verge of occurring, this only showed the synchronization of institutions of Pak govt that PM IK permitted Gen Bajwa to meet with a head of sate, and not an ordinary head of state but arguably the most powerful man on the planet, President Xi Jinping.Kudos young Ragaomatoor

Might reconsider that new conservatory then.
