COAS attends Al Khalid-1 handing over ceromony as CG at HIT - ISPR

Yes, first ever AK1 regiment is now fully operational. Total AKs in Army should be around 370. More are in production.

Honestly, the camera work is impressive.
There are 410 units till 2017, i think they have grown in numbers over past 3 years.

The thing between commander and gunner sight is an MRS/ parallelogram. Reads barrel wear and enhances the accuracy. Baseline model doesn't have this.

The reason that heavy tanks won't do good is not just terrain but logistics also. Agile and fast are best however agile, fast and heavy are perfect.
The main role that tanks play is exploiting weaknesses in enemy positions and breaking through their lines to let infantry and other supporting forces pour in to that gap. So putting your best force against enemy's weakest force is where tanks excel.

Un manned tanks will be the future, but then supporting forces like infantry (robots) and logistics/recovery need to be unmanned too.
I never said ifs just Terrain.
Neither countries in war time will have a 100% logistics system which can operate at its full strength.
You also have to understand few other things as well majority area close to border on Pakistan sides are towns and cities or populated villages which will make harder to maneuver even for light tanks.
Huge tanks battle will be mostly on few specified open sectors.
Lets agree with its numeric advantage indian forces are able to push defensive posts of PA and push inside few KM but than Advantage will be with PA as for last decade they have been continually fighting this.
Majority of current warfare can be easily handed to Drones and they will be much more affect in every regard but for that you need few other things beside spares.
Your A.I's Capabilities as well your strength of network, its capability to fight jamming & External attacks. If you one breach you can lose whole war

In the previous post, you put a pic of M-901 TOW carrier (officer standing infront), along with IFVs.

Now in this post, you have put pics of ANZA SAM (last 2 pics) along with GA/BS/TOW ATGM carriers.

AK series is not outdated, the adversaries that it faces are not just "outdated" indian armor fleet, but threats from ground and air like ATGM, artillery, mortars, hand held RPGs, IEDs, mines etc. Indian armor doesnt set the standard for Pakistan Army, however Indian armor threat has to be countered, and not just through tank vs tank. Now in the air, its a fighter aircraft vs fighter aircraft, and then a SAM threat. On the ground, its very different if you see the threats i mentioned. A fighter aircraft in the air has to be downed to neutralise it, whereas a tank can be made immobile or unable to be recovered by enemy, while its still intact. JF-17 as well as AZ and AK series were made to stay afloat with economic condition of Pakistan. Its not like Pakistan is on a LEO2/M1A2 buying spree. 3 decades is a long time, technology is coming up fast and is being incorporated in current weapon systems of Pakistan.

Drones have their own limitations. Range, endurance, payload, threats, comm links etc. Tanks have their role, a role which no other weapon system can fulfill till now. A combination of weapon systems in combined arms Ops can come on top at the end of the day.
Please re-read what i wrote in 1st bit.
Al khalids Tank design is out dated by modern standards , thats a fact.
More than half of indian fleet is T72. So yes they are out dated
No body is saying tanks and other systems are out dated its just the next step for evolution.
Majority of current weapon systems can be made automated.
With all of them being automated they can coordinate better.
Less chance of human error.
Lower risk of risking human life.
List goes on and on but simple fact is Pakistan armed forces have been ignoring this and depending too much on others.
Small investment in these sectors will earn huge benefit for Pakistan in future in economy and in defence
